Think flip, twist, crack and slam. wallah instant Lockdown.M
It brought everything together which was missing with the Sig. 70s alone. Lockdown as in, not looking for anything at the moment and don't know what it would be even if I was.
Something that I know, which seems to escape the attention of many of you, is that these speakers do not have parallel competition. Everything at their price point is disappointingly inferior and everything that approaches their performance level is staggeringly expensive. See ----- I'm done pandering. No reason to be humble anymore. Mike Smith is right, of course. The difference between these and what I would buy to replace them consists primarily of ego. Boy!! That felt good.
don't take the bait - don't take the bait - don't take the bait - he's a moron - don't take the bait.....
Tvad - Good call. I looked up the Lamm site. Very impressive stuff but not for me. I'm pretty sure I don't want tubes despite the respect I have for Mike's opinions and recommendations. At this point in my life I'm aiming toward simplification. That was part of the reason for wanting to go to Def 2s. I liked the option of bi-amping or using the internal amp. Chances are I would be content to keep it simple. If not, I can return to what I have now by bringing the Crown back in. I guess I've been as close to the mountain as I need to get in terms of performance. Henceforth, I'm quite willing to compromise. I may even downgrade to the Zu Presence when that comes along.
Thanks, Chris. If you want to buy 97 more numbers they can be yours. And that way you won't be gambling.
