I watched Lucky # Slevin last week. I was a bit disappointed with it considering the cast was far from bad. I din't find it terrible, but was glad that I'd not dropped $20 on it to buy it before I'd watched it.

Hey George, where'd you pick those up? I keep thinking I should pick those up at some point as the first season or two was rather good when they were new. I quit watching them regularly about the time the 3rd season should've started as they'd been playing too many re-runs of the first two seasons.

So yesterday while I was out looking for a copy of Infernal Affairs I came across a good deal on Sympathy For Lady Vengeance. And I got the "will this work on your DVD player?" talk when buying it. I'd forgotten how annoying that was.

So I tried finding Infernal Affairs elsewhere. And after a trip to Target and two different BB's I still didn't find it. But I did after some hassle pick up the special editions of Ghost In The Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig Vols. 5, 6, & 7. Wasn't easy to find a copy of Vol. 7 that wasn't seriously squashed. But I got one that wasn't too bad...

Stopped by BB today to return a DVD that I'd ordered off their website that arrived destroyed (not sure where I'm going to find that one in decent shape

).

Wandered the DVD section looking for something new.

'bout all I found was the '05 version of The Fog. Since I could pick it up for $4.99 I figured why not.

And it doesn't looks like I'll be picking much up this week since Tuesday looks rather slow. Maybe next week will be something interesting that's worth picking up.

I wish I'd have paid $5 for The Fog.

It wasn't horrible, IMO, but nothing special. A decent popcorn flick. At a minimum, the presence of Selma Blair makes any movie worth checking out.

So, I just got back from BB (that was fun with 1" of ice on the roads) and picked up Clerks II, Superman Returns 2-Disc version, and the Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison 2-pack as the price had dropped on them and I'd not yet replaced them as I only had 'em on LD, and I sold all of my LD's a few months ago.

Well, I had to work at it to get that price. They'd not taken a sign down saying it was on sale for $7.99 (it rung up at $19.99

) that had apparently ended the day before, so I got them to drop the price down to the previous sale price. Then I had a $3 off coupon I used to bring it down to $4.99.

The cashier then said "man, you really don't want to pay much for this movie, do you?".

I told him that I certainly didn't want to pay much of anything for it as I'd heard it wasn't so great, but I still wanted to watch it and therefore didn't see a good reason to spend too much on it.

He agreed with that line of logic...

Just got back from today's trip to BB and came home with the Unrated Beerfest, the Unrated Miami Vice, the 2-Disc Pirates 2 w/BB bonus disc (making it a 3 disc set), and The Terminal since it was $5.99 this week.

Pirates of the Carribean- I just got the standard edition, but I give it a big thumbs up. I disliked the cliffhanger ending, though.
Pulse- Blech! Just bought it on NRT and it absolutely stunk. One of those rare movies I gave up on 1/2 hour into.

Just picked up a couple at WallyWorld today:

The Doors (15th Anniversary Edition)- Not sure how long this one's been out, but I really loved the movie so I thought I'd give it a try.
The Untouchables- This one's been out quite awhile, but it was in the $7.50 rack today. Good flick, especially at the price!

Got up early today to hit BB for NRT.

Picked up The Descent Unrated Cut, and Jackass Number Two Unrated Cut.

Been waiting for The Descent since I saw it in theaters. Has got to be one of the best horror movies of all time.

Jackass 2 was seriously disturbing in many ways. But seriously hilarious as well.
