Would be neat if Lowther would sell you the labels on the magnet.
That way you could put the wire leads where is convenient (6 O'Clock), then put the sticker on level.
That would be cool.

Very neat Randy, you should be very proud.

So after a few nights of bugging John at Acoustic Elegance until the wee hours in the morning.. I give you the final concept version of the Blackmore v2 that I will be doing a limited run of.

What is similar to the original Blackmores is the dipole Lowther which will still be the PM6A, but the base will house 2 Lambda 6's with opposing 10inch passive radiators giving a frequency response down to mid 30hz..

This very progressive approach still allows a very sleek, slim and organic design...

That should be an awesome build.  I've always thought a passive radiator project would be fun, but couldn't figure what the benefits would be over an easier port design.  Doesn't it allow for a steeper f3 roll-off?

Hmmm..... not sure how this thread made it by me but those are "mad cool" as my boys would say.

Maybe someday I will have the time to finish up a custom, off-the-wall preamp chassis that I have been drawing for a while now. I think it would make for a nice photo with one of your creations.

I started on the design concept last year when we were communicating. After seeing these, my inspirition is back. I promise you it will 'look' like no other preamp anyone has ever seen:thumb:

Yes sir!! I agree.  I'm thinking the hybrid integrated may be best for the first introduction.  I've had a name for it for some time but I don't want to mention it just yet :eyebrows:

Hammer dropped them off this afternoon    We're going to do some more tweaking of crossover settings on Wednesday night.  Right now they're sitting at 260Hz @48 db/oct.  He should be posting some pictures of them soon.  Hey MerRev, we need a new name for them.   Maybe just the "Wicked"???????  You have to hear and see them.  I'll post some pictures from Wednesday night to prove that it happened.

Blackmore, very cool setup. Can't wait to hear more from you as you spend time with them

Hey there Randy,
I have some orders to finish up on the benches but thinking of starting things off with a preamp that would follow along the same line as the Blackmore V2 speakers if it's okay with you. I am thinking a mate to these speaker so I hope you plan on keeping a pair around. Since I don't sleep much anymore, it has given some time to come up with a couple design options. Once I start, I will start a thread to keep people posted on the progress.

Once it is complete, we will only need to figure a way to get them together for a photo shoot. I guess I will have to talk to Blackmore about the name as I like the "Blackmore B-X"

Hmmmm.... maybe a Blackmore Series.....Nah..It might go to his head
