Kraftwerk... Autobahn
- The original studio version is by far the best. It's hard to believe this masterpiece was recorded 34 years ago and how well it stands up today. Fantastic driving music, especially at night!

Jean Michel Jarre... Equinoxe
- 30 years old, 10 million copies sold.

>> I agree with all your choices which I think is pretty rare among all the audiophile recommendations.
Equinox by Jean Michel Jarre is a great album, lately though I've taken a preference for Magnetic Fields. If you like this style, then Oxygen is one to have as well though not quite as good as the above mentioned two. Rendezvous is another in this style which is okay. Revolutions is a more acquired taste, you really have to like Jarre's style to appreciate the artistry in this one. I play it once in a blue moon when the mood calls for it.
Metamorphosis, is completely different from his previous albums and is quite good. I have this album amongst my favorites along with Equinox, Magnetic Fields and Oxygen.
Tangerine Dream- White Eagle
The first track on this album is the keeper. One of the best songs in electronic New Age.
I have quite a few Tangerine Dream albums and I'll post later which ones I think are the good ones.
I also have a batch of electronic music I haven't listen to yet. I'll try to get started on that this weekend and give a recommendation if I hear anything good. <<

Most things from Pork Recordings
You can also try the usual downtempo suspects: Air, Zero 7, Supreme Beings of Leisure, etc.

I listened to a lot of analog synth stuff during the 80's, some of it I lost as they were on cassettes that got stolen. Anyway I found over time that my tastes progressed towards more natural instrumental sounding electronic music.
The 3 main pioneers for instrumental electronic New Age are Yanni, Kitaro and David Arkenstone.
If your ready for more advance electronic music then check out some of these:
David Arkenstone
Earlier Works:(instrumental electronics)
Celtic Book of Days
Citizen of Time
Citizen of the World
In the Wake of the Wind
Return of the Guardian
Quest of the Dream Warrior
Later Works- (epic movie Soundtrack like style)
Frontier- native American sound that takes several plays to get the subtleties. Is really good once you get it.
Middle Earth - Should have been the soundtrack to Lord of the Rings
Atlantis
Echoes of Egypt
Spirit of Tibet
Spirit Wind
Spirit of Ireland
Kitaro - electronic instrumental
Silk Road II
Gaia
Thinking of You
Enchanted Evening
Kojicki
Yakushiji -Live-
Yanni
Live at the Acropolis
Devotion
Reflections of Passion

If you like the Knife, I recommend Cut Copy, Fischerspooner or Ladytron.
Yello is pretty unique, but if you like them you might like more industrial style stuff like Meat Beat Manifesto, Scorn or Front 242.
Never heard of Trentmoller.

Edgar Froese - Stuntman
Klaus Schulze - Babel
Both members of Tangerine Dream at one time I believe.
Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure, Richochet, Stratosphere. The 2 disk set 'Dream Sequence' is a good collection from most of their early works.
Bo Hannsson - Majician's Hat, Lord of the Rings. Not sure it would class as pure electronic, but pretty close.
Oldies but goodies. I'll have to check out some of the new ones noted here-in, Thanks for the thread thought.
