I can't believe nobody has mentioned Moby or Underworld!

Yello is awesome, they provide so much to the listening experience.

Some others, most have already been mentioned:
Daft Punk, Air, Mark Farina, Crystal Method, The Orb, Supreme Beings of Leisure, Prodigy, Thievery Corporaton, Propellorheads, Baldwin Brothers, and Richie Hawtin who also has albums under the moniker Plastikman

I like the Mr. Oizo recommendation, his experimentation with vinyl is off the wall and in the right state of mind...off the hook.

Also, some progressive rock bands which I recommend: Pan American, Trans Am, Tortoise, Ui

Every Friday night is electronica night on KXCI Community Radio until midnight.

Listen online at http://www.kxci.org/ starting right now at 6:00 pm Tucson time (no daylight saving time).

Starts out mellow with The Chill from 6-7 and then ramps up.

There is a playlist so you can check out what you heard. (no commercials too)

Thanks for the link Wayne - listening to it now, great music.

I was in the UK when Tangerine Dream came on the scene and remember getting spaced out in my youth with:
Alpha Centauri, Zeit, Atem, Phaedra & Rubycon.
Saw them live a couple of times and the build up to a crescendo as the songs progress was impressive.

Which then lead to Terry Riley - Rainbow In Curved Air

A British copy of Tangerine Dream called Zorch had minimal commercial success - I had a tape of one of their concerts and see they have a couple of CD's:

Glad you like it, The Chill is my favorite show to wind down after a long week.

If you like meditative music check out Brainwaves from 6:00 am - 8:00 am every Saturday morning. A great way to wake up, I put it on at 6 and doze and dream until 7 then slowly start the day with Brainwaves in the background.

Actually all day Saturday KXCI has excellent programming.

Like all music, electronic music is diverse (D&B, Acid, Dubstep, Experimental and so on).  Ones "electronic music" can be someones "pop music". There are some many artists/groups that cross musical boundaries. There is a lot of good music that can introduce you to the "genre".

If you like The Knife, you might like Crystal Castles.

Yep, I was kind of lukewarm on The Warning when it came out, but I now recognize that it is indeed a great album.

Check out The Notwist's Neon Golden for a similar vibe.

I was a big fan of !!! too, but Myth Takes was a bit of a letdown for me after Louden Up Now.

I personally love Prefuse 73.  I think it may fall more into the Hip Hop DJ arena but he has a new album coming out.
