By "electronic music" do you mean the real McCoy? If you want real electronic music---the best there is---go back to the source in the 50s 60s 70s--Karlheinze Stockhausen (Gesang der Jurnglinge), Mario Davidovsky (Synchronisms) , Luciano Berio (Visage or Omaggio Joyce), Edgar Varese (Poeme Electronique).

The OP, mvwhiting_83, has "gone fishn" or started an Intelligent Electronic Music group himself, because after the first post he never reappeared.

I raised the genre question last year. Even without his presence, lots of interesting variations on Intelligent Electronic Music: from Classic Progressive Rock to jangley guitars to old school moog synth instrumental soundscape music.

To me, the key is in the example bands he listed: The Knife, Yello, 7, and Trentmoller.

According to his profile the last time he checked in was 2 weeks ago on April 27. Even if he hasn't posted anything in a while, that doesn't mean he hasn't been reading this thread.
