Announcing 3 New Alnico-based Speakers + Changes to Unify Product Naming

Hi Everyone,

I’m really excited to announce three new Alnico-based, single-driver speakers!

Sorry it’s taken awhile to release pricing and details, but getting the new speakers ready to ship, along with filling customer orders has kept me VERY busy lately!

Both the new speakers and updated marketing stuff are complete, so I’m making the announcements here on AudioCircle. Omega’s Web-site will reflect these changes shortly.

Changes…

- Three new single-driver speakers: Two using a brand new 6” Alnico driver; One new 8” Alnico speaker, that will replace the MaxHemp
- 8” Alnico drivers now come standard on SuperHemps
- Name changes for some models, being done to unify the product family (Super 3 XRS now called Super 5 XRS; Super 3 DiPole now called Super 5 DiPole; SuperHemp now called Super 8 Alnico Monitor)
- Brass screws are now standard on all Omega speakers

Omega’s Website…

My main focus (and passion!) is designing and building speakers. So I’ve partnered with one of my customers (‘Alwayswantmore,’ aka Kent) to help get the message out. Kent is a retired marketing guy, who’s helping me create and modify Web content in return for consideration on Omega speakers (payment in kind). Since Kent is a frequent poster in Omega’s Circle, both he and I feel it’s important this new relationship be disclosed.

Reaching me…

I’m more comfortable designing speakers and working with wood than I am sitting in front of a computer, so I don’t post as much as I should. [Which makes me all the more appreciative of those of you who do contribute to this forum!]

If you have ANY questions or comments, please call me. It’s much easier for me to understand your needs and make product recommendations over the phone. My number is (203) 847-2800. If I don't pick up it means I'm on the phone, so try back in a few minutes.

Eye candy...

Hi Chris, Bill,

Many thanks and this is keeping me going. I'm prototyping as well and also trying to get the shop in order. The Fire situation is almost finished.

Very happy with the 6.5 alnico and finally a driver with a short break in period.

Thanks,
Louis
