J. S. Bach
This is rather a funny thread. To bring Bach back from the dead might indeed be a service to music, but you would have to pitty the poor chap for this world has gone decidedly downhill musically (and every other way) since he left.
Being honest if I could bring back one artist from the dead it would be Michael Angelo but that's me playing with words.
Ok... Vivaldi and why him? To my mind he has the most obvious and sincere understanding of life and the world, it shines out in his compositions. His music is beautifull but not like Mozarts', intelligent but not in such an obvious way as Bachs'. Being completely honest I get the impression that his faith was the strongest and it shows. There you go. I said it. What you make of that is up to you but I can hear it or at least I think that's what I hear.
Does anyone else hear this also or am I alone?
