         Put on some rock but it better be well recorded as the TVC will tell all.Emmylou Harris Deep Well trk. made my pants flap with the low bass.The Moody Blues Question of Balance was tohgh to handle as the CD version is a tad bright.
         This TVC is extremely revealing of source matreial as it is very neutral in character.Don't listen to much rock now at 55 yrs old but pulled out Susan Vega live and almost crapped with the alive presentation and house shaking bass.
          The wire Is the internal wiring from trannie to output RCA's and of course from input RCA to trannie.Nichcolas is wiring my second unit with double runs of silver which he states will provide more weight to the sound than a single run of silver.
           I will listen to both versions, go to copper asits only 6 wires to change.Will listen again and let you know,should have second unit in a couple of weeks.

He has not responded to my last email yet.  I know there are some internet issues with that area of the globe because of a snapped main internet line due to an Earthquake.

I would hope all future TVC's from Nichcolas would incorporate these additional runs of wire?  Who would not want more weight to the sound? 

If Nichcolas ever gets around to responding to e-mails I intend to ask him about this.  Thanks for the mention.

I agree. I'm gonna e-mail Nick and ask him to add additional wires to my TVC he's currently making. How much extra cost is it?

               Nichcolas is alive and well,He emailed me yesterday.We did not talk price of double run of silver,I don't believe it be much if anything at all.You will trade off some transparency however its so transparent to begin with I don't believe it will matter.

I agree, hopefully this is now done on all new TVC's. Nicholas if your internet is working, can you please confirm that double runs of silver wire internally will be the standard now?

all is well. Internet is still patchy but better than nothing.

On the double runs, i am going to try it out to see how it works out first and report back to group so you can decide. I will bring about some improvement and some negative but then again depending on which group you are going to fall in between. Some people swear and die by transparency, some like myself would like a complete picture.

On the extra run got to be a bit carefully on where it going to be. If you have double strand for everwhere you would lose quite a far bit of transparency. The trick here that i need to find out is where is the least negative place to put it. I believe it should be kept at on the outputs first and then later from input to the tvc selector.

Additional cost should not be too much to do so.

I am sort of a rocker/jazz fan. IT is good to know how one system performs with rock and classical has both of this reveals system short fall. Me i am just a Dire Straits fan.

Hi Nicholas,

I figure that doing a double run from just one of the outputs would be a good idea. Then you can choose your poison. One output would be transparent, and the other one would have a little more weight. I'll give you an idea to play with.

On the one with the double run, you might also see if leaving one of the wires unhooked at the RCA end forming a fantoom ground would make any difference. Or maybe, just do the double run on the hot side of the RCA. Just more ideas.

Hey Nick,

The Energizer looks like quite a bit of work, that's a gigantic transformer.    Would it be possible to have small spikes added to the base of it?    Also, could a mass damped platform (like for the TVC) be used for the base of the Energizer?    

In regards to the issue of body & weight versus clarity, this TVC bridges that gap nicely in my system - individual mileage may vary.   Adding more depth to the body & weight is my vote.  this thing rocks as is though.

If existing TVC users feel there's an issue with the body or weight of the presentation, i again recomend playing with the mounting of it.  in my system, pointed brass footers and a suspended tonewood platform make the TVC growl - like a nice guitar amp.      listening with just the TVC sitting on Nicks freebie cones is not as much fun.  the magical midband, 3-D imagery & thunderous musical bass presence shrinks...a lot.

Did someone mention copper wiring as well?  some nice cryo'd copper might be cool.

That's really good info to know!  I already have some brass footers, Cerapucs and 3" thick Maple platform ready and waiting for my TVC to arrive.   So I guess with this new info, I'll just keep my TVC with the single run for now. 

From my experience there is not one component in my system that has not benefited from better footers and proper vibration grounding.

For what it's worth, for components, I found Finite Elemente Cerapucs were superior in imaging and micro-detail than the brass footers.  Brass adds a bit of color, but for some that's a good thing.
