2013 music purchases - the running tally.

Just getting ready to submit my first music order of the New Year and could not help but wonder how many albums I purchased over 2012. I thought that it may be an interesting process to keep track as to how much music I will purchase for this year by keeping a running tally. Anyone who wishes to participate in this little study is most certainly welcome. Ground rules are that you must purchase the album new or used and can be in any format such as CDs, vinyl, music files, tape and so on. Numbers are all that is required but you may also post the album titles if you wish  :D

I have purchased 4 live recordings yesterday from nuggs livedownloads. All were purchased in HD Flac files.
2 My Morning Jacket live from the Capital Theater 12/29/2012. 12/28/2012 has not downloaded yet. Still waiting for the HD download transfer.
1 Pearl Jam live from Missoula Montana 9/30/2012
1 Widespread Panic live from Charlotte NC 12/31/2012

I picked up Louis Armstrong's "The Definitive Collection" last night.  It was in the bargain bin.

That's CD #1 for the year.  I'm also probably going to order some Hank Marvin CDs.  I liked his work on the Strat Pack concert back in 2004.

I'm sure there are Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dave Brubeck or Oscar Peterson CDs I don't have that I'll end up getting.  I'm not much into current artists.

CDs To Date 7

Paid a visit to our Local Goodwill store today and purchased 7 CDs - the first CD conquest of the new year and I will have to go back next Tuesday as that is when the new half price day is in effect for CDs. It is very disappointing to locate a hard to find album only to discover that it has been neglected and severely scratched - "shakes fist at automobiles CD players"  :nono:

As far as music concerts I just found that The Eagles farewell Tour I will be released Feb 19/2013 on BluRay(Amazon.com)so far.
I have the dvd and even on that the audio and camera work are excellent.
Also from Amazon.UK The Rolling Stones Grrr on Bluray audio.

Stopped in at the local Goodwill store yesterday as it was CD dollar day and was pleased to see an increase in their selection. Yes, I was very weak and purchased 44 CDs - a great way to try out "new to me music" and if I do not like the band I am only out $1.00.  The great news is that I have only experienced a couple of bombs and have also noticed that Lady Laundrew is loading some of these tunes on her computer - wow, we are finally sharing music, now if I can only get her to warm up to Cradle of Filth...
