I agree to a point. The player knew he was down and basically committed a dishonest play to run for the touchdown...something most players would try...
It's unlikely the League will change anything. The challenge rule has been on the books for quite a long time. Schwartz blew it, plain and simple.
The Refs didn't blow the whistle, so he kept playing. Everyone else should have, too.You may have something there with them all being tired, though. Did all of these guys, ref's included, eat Thanksgiving dinner before the game? I know that makes me pretty sluggish.
Schwartz probably didn't look at it like a scoring play in his head because it was so silly (only one guy ran after him and that's after realizing the refs had no f*cking clue what was going on). The refs blew it, though...not so much Schwartz. The guy was clearly down and it wasn't called on the spot.
I'm sure we'll shortly hear an explanation from satfrat on the cowgirls and how they were deskirted by an east coastal indian tribe.
I miss seeing Jerry Jones mug all the time .......man the NFC east sucks !
