Larevoj,

i had the Sonus Faber Cremona (full range) speakers for a while. i really enjoyed the mids and the bass but found out that the tweeter was somewhat "too much" for my ears...
so how is the tweeter's sound now? do you hear any harshness??

thanks,

al.

Hi Alexone,

I had no issue at all and in fact it was much more refine than the Dynaudio Focus 110. There were a number of tracks I used to skip due to harshness at moderate listening levels but now I no longer have this issue. It It doesn't harden up and is not in our face...I love every note from it  :)

For anyone looking for a high quality full range speaker for (relatively) little money on the used market to match their Bryston gear, the Infinity Prelude MTS are a pair of speakers I have enjoyed using from time to time with my Bryston equipment.  In conjunction with Bryston downstream equipment, they are uncoloured but sound lively and engaging, and are a full range speaker with a small footprint.  They were quite expensive new, but thanks to the Infinity brand name most audiophiles have ignored them and they are consequently a bargain used.  Just be aware of problematic drivers.  Info and a review below:

I bet so. What puzzles me is that where the ST Series logo should be, I read something like PMC, but not clearly enough.

I believe it does say PMC. I heard the PMC modifies the Bryston amps?

My speakers are 1995 vintage KEF Q-70's.

I've got a big Velodyne sub handling everything below 80 hz.  I listen to a lot of large orchestra classical, Jazz and Classic rock.

My local audio guy told me for years that I didn't need a sub-woofer.  Even with a nice set of KEF's, a sub-woofer makes a big difference.

Yessir.

PMC is the UK distributor and an excellent speaker manufacturer in their own right. The guy I bought them from had them hooked up to a pair of MB2-XBD speakers (he's using 28B SST amps now). I assume he bought the 7B ST with his speakers from PMC directly hence the branding:

I haven't heard of PMC making any modifications to the amps, sure James can chip in and let us know if they do?

PMC remove the clipping circuits on the Active systems from the amps because the clipping circuits are built into the Electronic Crossover.

The speakers in James' picture before your post are Thiel MCS1s.  I use an MCS1 as a center channel with my 3.7s

You can get them with stands for positioning as a center channel (sideways) or main channels as in James' picture.  I have mine on a shelf with the grill.
