Hi Danny,

What do think of using this kind of sub-woofer in 3's or 4's in multiple room environment similar to a Gedlee multiple sub-woofers set-up? Would that set-up improves in the room bass response and hence bass sensory perception.

My experience is by moving a single sub-woofer from the middle-side of the room to the room corner already improves the bass response, I think multiple subs will further enhance this, will it justify the added costs?

Maybe you may want to write a paper on how this is done at the same time it will enhance in selling this  sub-woofer. I maybe interested.

Any comment.

I think that these are good subs for that application. The low cost really helps as well.

Guys like Duke and Earl have already covered the use of multiple subs pretty well. The results speak for themselves. There is no doubt as to the effectiveness.

Whether the improved bass response is worth it or not is up to each customer.

Do you have any plans for an OB sub setup?  If so, where can I see them?

Sure, anyone can build my SW-12-16FR's into a W frame or an H frame pretty easy. Many already have. There is even a W frame box plan on my site.

There is a link at the bottom of the page: http://www.gr-research.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=141

Time permitting, I'd like to get a H frame version up as well.

Oh sweet.  Thanks.  You have to do two right?  So you can't do a single.  Correct?

You do a single if that is all of the output that you need.

Can you direct to technical paper where it explain how each sub is connected to the amp.(e.g. how many amps required, or in phase or out of phase etc,), where possible how they are placed e.g. one in each corner?

This will help me in the study of feasibility of getting at least 3 units.

What is the output of a single OB compared to a sealed Rythmik?  Also, H or W, what are the pro / cons?

Danny ships to Canada.  There is a really good estimator on Danny's website.  Just put the stuff in your cart and get a shipping quote to you postal code.

One of those guys has written something on it somewhere.

Basically you have a pair of subs in the front of the room in phase and a pair at the back of the room out of phase.

I'd say that a single OB servo sub has about 1/2 to 2/3rds the output of the sealed box version. And a pair of the open baffle servo subs have at least a third or half again more output than a single sealed one.

I preferred the H frame because it braced the cabinet better. It also made it easier to add No Rez and that helped a lot too.

Every week, I ship something up there. Always via USPS.

Shipping to Canada for one woofer and one amp is $89. That includes insurance to your door and there will be no brokeraged added because this is coming via the postal service.

Do you think you'll have an "H" drawing together sometime soon?  Also, you typically run two drivers with one amp right?  Are these in a kit?  Cost?

Oh, one more thing.  How far from any wall does the OB sub need to be?

Just use the bottom half of the Super-V box: http://www.gr-research.com/pdf/Supervbox.pdf

Woofers are $149 each and the A370PEQ amp is $349.

Cool.  $647 plus shipping.

What about my last question above?

It can be close to a side wall even right up on it, but it needs to be at least 3 feet or more from the rear wall (wall behind it).

Just build a cube that is 13.5" square and use 4 braces running through it hitting all four sides with the center cut out of all of them. You can double up the wall thickness on the front and the back. Then mount the amp in one end and the woofer in the other...

I'm assuming you mean 13.5" internal dimensions?

That's be 1.42 cu ft. before bracing, driver, amp...

I realize I might be late to the party, but is this deal still available?

How would this amp/driver combo compare to the rythmik kits?
