Argentum Acoustics Aureus-2BW with supplied banana plugs.

Be well...

Post Scriptum…

I much prefer the aesthetics of these cables, after all, we all know in the most darkest place of our souls, that speaker cables have no effect on audio quality whatsoever.

Gutwire synchrony

or you might want to find out what speaker cable they use in the B&W and see if they are on the market and use those.

I am hoping one day to to hear the Wywires speaker cable, while the rca's are excellent.

Oh c'mon. Bryston literature recommends 12 at minimum.

I've seen this description "boutique" cable used frequently on this and other forums.  What exactly does this mean?  Does it have a definition?

"boutique" can describe a manufacturer who limits production in order to justify insane pricing...most of these guys work out of their basement or garage until they have fleeced enough people to move into a local industrial complex.

"boutique" can also be a manufacturer who employs ridiculous over-engineering in place of standard established production materials/methods...then charges insane pricing to compensate for the over-engineering.

Look for key phrases and words such as "cryogenic treatment", "six nines copper", "unobtainium", etc... then hold your wallet tight and run for the hills

I believe the two most important aspects of good speaker cable are proper gauge for the run and solid terminations.   Certain combinations of braid geometry and shielding can lead to abnormal capacitive or inductive effects that have the potential to alter amp-speaker synergy so I'm not claiming that ALL cable babble is false....just 99.9999%

As well as superfluous or non-contributing engineering such as tubular or cubical blocks that the cables run through at each end, made of intricately machined or engraved aluminum, polished rare hardwood or carbon fiber.

Belden 1313A. 10 guage, oxygen free copper.

Hmm...I wonder how this compares the the Belden 10 gauge that I'm using.  8)

Assuming you're using the belden  5T00UP, the 1313A has 7% lower resistance/foot, and abut 30% lower capacitance per foot.

Whether that translates into something a human can actually hear (in a double blind randomized test) - well, I'm skeptical. But the 1313A is still very inexpensive -- 2 to 3 dollars per foot in reasonable lengths. (If you want 500 feet, it is just over a dollar a foot.) So it can't hurt.

Yes, that's what I'm using. No kidding. Wow, that's pretty damn good. However, I only have 6 ft. of speaker cable per channel.

Ok. Well, I'd like to try it nevertheless. Where can I get it?

It's not that easy to buy by the foot. The shortest I could find at a reasonable price was 50 foot for $64 at http://www.broadbandutopia.com/1313a50.html

That's not too far off the per foot cost of the 1000 ft. rolls.
