Yesss!!! 8) 8)
France is almost out of the tournament!  :icon_twisted: I'm not irish, but felt bad when they were knocked out due to a highly dubious decision involving henry. So poetic justice here!

And Argentina demolished south korea and becomes the first to get into the next round... i thought SK would give them a tough fight, but Argentina proved too strong. After a game like this, i'd have to say that they are amongst the top contenders.

ARGENTINA did very well despite few mistakes and stubborn S.Korean team.
France......         :notworthy:       :bomb:

.....and do not count Spain out just yet!
My prediction - Spain will finish 2nd in the group which will result in early World Cup Finals.
That's right, Brazil v.s Spain in the next round.

Not to recur to history, but Mexico vs France...it is history repeated again!

Argentina vs Corea del Sur....dude, it was not even a match.  One of the teams in my heart...pounded by the albiceleste....you have got the see the faces of the Red Devils, painted all Red for Korea in Ktown in NYC....they had some long faces.

With the stupidity of that Nigerian player, he doomed his country's chances at the Cup...where individual mistakes make everything fall to pieces.

I am looking forward the Brazil, Paraguay, North Korea and hopefully Spain's victory soon enough.

Tomorrow, Germany vs Serbia....Gran Serbia...cannot wait.

I hope Serbia will give their best......if not, it is going to get ugly.
(2:0 Germany or 1:1 if Serbs play hard, really hard)

Tight coverage, strong defence, at least one extra shoulder for M.Klose, M.Gomez & L.Podolski. These three are deadly.

Good luck

Got to watch a time-shifted Argentina-Korea game. Although Argentina's defense is suspect, their offence is very creative and powerful. I thought Korea would have had a chance if they played as they did in the second half, but Argentina's offence just seems to make up for their shoddy defence. Messi really is amazing.

Got to see the first half of France v Mexico. France looked powerful and sophisticated, but not so energetic (they have 'the Incredible Sulk'), Mexico is so dynamic...and it looks like that paid off with a 2-0 victory. I have to say that Dos Santos (#17) looks like a 14 year old Mexican girl.

Germany v.s Serbia 0:1
Klose red card
It is going to get really interesting in the 2nd half.
Serbia has a great window of opportunity.
Hope they use it to there advantage.

serbia are all over germany! I didn't realise how much losing 1 man can affect a team. Klose is a very important player, but still serbia are playing really well. In the last 10 mins, they've had 2 shots at goal that hit the crossbar!
Where is the germany that i saw in the first game??!!

Darn good match by Serbia. They were a different team in this match.  :thumb:

My prediction record remains consistent...lousy as usual.

SERBIAAAAA

Good tactics, decent execution. Very difficult game as proven by the number of fauls.

But my grief remains with the refs... what's the deal with all the yellow/red cards

Anyway - go White Eagles!  :singing: :wine:

This group just got a bit more complicated.
It might come to the goals count.

Red card and saved penalty were the turning points of the game.
(awesome save by the way)

Boris,
it must have been a very emotional game for you.
Now, it is time for a cold one.

Congrats

Talk about the worst kind of ref for the physical play of Teutonic futball.

Argentina looks to be the class of this WC with their mercurial attack.  I can't stand Maradona the person but he has the team playing really well -- loosy goosy and carefree.  You can see that they are having fun.  Amazing how a coach's personality shows through the team's play.

I don't understand the defense we are playing.  There is way too much gap in the middle.

I don't understand myself, the U.S. defense is abysmal :( Why on earth are they giving the Slovenians so much space??

Look at all the yellow cards being raked up by the Slovenian players!
