Dang...them N.Koreans are tough, their defense squashed most of the Brazilian attacks ...they are certainly under-rated...they could create some upsets in the G group...methinks.

I am thinking worse fate waits any N Korean player who plays bad than that of the Columbian dude from Medellin.  Can you say firing squad rather than a hit man.  Fear is a big motivator.  :o

Great shot but no way that shot should ever go in.  No goalie should let anything in near post.

Go Brazil.
Completely different team in the 2nd half.
But they almost had too much fun.

Seems like Korean team can thank Ji Y-N for the safe trip home.

Brazil...150 million die hard believers that there is only one destiny when it comes to a futbol.
DRP......23 million poor but with an extreme streak of nationalism and fervor.

2 to 1, to be quadruple World Cup winners, it should have been a fusillade of pot shots but 2, it is embarrassing and I say this having lived in Brazil when I was a small child.

Argentina, Italy, France and Brazil, better show their true soccer spirit or else, they will be heading home in disgrace.  The only dominant team so far, Germany.

Hello,
Please, let me correct the brazilian slogan (Lotado! O Brasil inteiro está aqui dentro!),
The correct translation is: Crowded! The whole Brazil is here!

The Brazil - PRK game was a big surprise for me. Quite honestly I think if the Koreans had managed to hold their defensive formation in the second half as they did in the first half they could have held Brazil to a draw. Blasphemy, I know, but the North Koreans displayed a remarkable defense in the first half forcing Brazil to take their shots from a distance. Their defense started to crumble by the beginning of the second half though and Brazil dominated play from then on. Interesting that it's the goalkeeper getting the blame for Brazil's first point when you can clearly see in the replays that the defense was getting lazy, failing to mark Maicon until he was already in full stride. It's still hard for me to believe that Brazil won only by a point!

Chile gets first win ever.

Watching (most of) the matches so far,  I am looking forward to tomorrow's match between Argentina and S. Korea.  Both showed good form (two of the best flows) in their first matches.  It will be interesting to see if S. Korea is good or bad Greece just made them look good.  Containing Messi would be a challenge for the Koreans but then he would be for anyone.  What will Veron's absence mean?  I think it can actually be a blessing in disguise since he would have had hard time keeping up with the fleet Koreans for 90 minutes anyway.  I look forward to an aesthetic game.

Not blaming just the goalkeeper.  Clearly, defense got lost but you have to take away the inner post and make him cross.  The keep got caught cheating to intercept the cross.  :nono:

That's why we play the game.  Better team does not always win.
