Haven't you repeatedly said that 7" woofers in a MTM are a bad idea due to driver spacing and beaming issues?

Not so much bad but more compromised than I would like to see. In this case it's not a MTM layout, but a MMT.

Ok I can name many speakers with two mid-ranges, however all are of the MTM design.   So how does the sound of say a (WW)MMT tower compare to the more popular (W)MTM(W)?

Not at this time but I will when the pictures are availble. Think premium parts in a combination that you won't find anywhere else.  8)

The MMT is basically a full-range 2.5-way so you wouldn't normally add a pair of woofers to it (really a WWT but usuually referred to as a MMT).

Just thinking about how for home theater you would want a matching center channel, how would you make one to go along with these speakers?   I believe that you aren't a fan of the MTM center, and for good reason.  Just wondering if there's a good way of making a center with 2 mids that isn't MTM.  Not saying I'm looking for this, it's just more of curiosity.

You can do a MTM in the center with small diameter mids. What dimensions will your space allow?

Well i'm still trying to finish off the basement so there won't be a size issue, however there will be a placement issue.  I can't build a fake wall with and AT screen so it will have to go below the screen and point some what up to the listing position.  I like the dual mids for added sensitivity, however it seems that all the high sensitivity mids are 6" and up, i'm thinking higher than 90dbs at 8ohms (if measured with 2.83v).  The only ones I know of are the Accutron and AE's new 6.5".  Again this is just wondering, not sure yet what I'll do, well other than follow what you do since your price to performance is ridiculously good.

Stacking two mids vertically is difficult to do unless they are small in diameter and the crossover point is low. If your space allows I would consider the Accuton. I've used it in a custom design and it's excellent (should be for the $!). I haven't heard the AE driver but looking at the response and impedance curves I'm not too excited about it.

Looks good! Has kind of a 'muscular' look to it. Is this a sealed cabinet? If so, can I assume it would also work ported if the cabinet was larger? And lastly, what's the approximate efficiency of this design?

Rick,

The Circondare seems to have similar components to your Cima monitor.  On your website, the Cima for some reason does not specify the size of the Illuminator midbass, but comparing them to the RAAL ribbon faceplate, they must be smaller than the 7", perhaps 5.5" or 6"?

How does the Circondare TMM compare to the MTM Cima in performance and price?

I must admit that I get a little confused with the continual introduction of new models, and don't really know how to compare them, particularly if they are at similiar price points.
