I would say Vandersteen 5A without a doubt a bargain at $13K.

And you can buy my pair for a lot less than $13k.   aa

Yes Sir, I could probably store them for several years and I would not even charge him.

5A is $17K new so gently used you could snag a pair, we have the Wood Quatro's and are gonna jump up to 5A soon but just bought the new Aesthetix Atlas amp (this amp is killer!)

i had the iteration of these (series l) w/o the side-firing subwoofers - a killer speaker, imo:

or, in your smaller room, the original victory's should do yust fine.  yust mount them on 10" stands - they really sound better this way (same height as the total victory's).  you could always add subs later.

The 5A's with bird's eye maple finish and external hi-pass filter actually list for for just over $20k.

I'm surprised the Innersound Kayas haven't been mentioned. (I've not heard Roger Sander's current offering of them) They come with their own 600wpc crossover amp, which are easily tweaked for incresed mo betta. All you add is an amp for the electrostatic panels and you get a truly world class system.

The fact that Innersound is out of business probably has something to do with it.

That being said, I have heard nothing but excellent things about the speakers.

I have also "heard" that Roger is still supporting the speakers, but that would need to be confirmed with Roger.

What about Legacy Whisper  aa I know a guy who's nearly broke buying speakers, he has three pairs of speakers, each over $15k a pair. So he needs to liquidate two pairs, I can get you his Legacy Whisper for $13k no problem.

According to the support page on Sanders Sound Systems, he does support Innersound gear.  http://www.sanderssoundsystems.com/support.htm

ESL amps are good with dynamic drivers too.

3 points........

First that isnt a outboard crossover in the Vandersteen 5A its a Hi-pass Filter, second that is an optional finish. The Aesthetix amp on order was built with input from Richard Vandersteen so the filters are built in, it saves you the $700 for the external filters. Used the 5a has been sold as cheap as $10K range and again worth every penny.

Legacy Focus can be had alot less then $13K,dealer demos go for less and used on Agon I see them for less than $10K.

Roger Sanders is back in business with his own venture but in past conversations was interested in bringing back Innersound after the idiots that forced him out then ran it into the ground were done doing their damage, I own a pair of Innersound Eros but I dont run them in my system.

A pair of these are sitting right around the corner in my buddy's house.

I drove with him to pick them up, but have been unable to listen d/t a faulty bass / crossover amp.  Looking forward to hearing them once it is repaired.

Roger is providing support for Innersound including the Kaya's. He's very easy to deal with considering what happened with Innersound.  He's answered several of my questions regarding my Kaya's and provided/programmed a remote for the xover/amp.  The xover/amp for the Kaya's is made by Coda and supported by them. If your into the electrostat sound, these are excellent speakers.

I would say my SP TECH REVELATIONS, 30K-for less than 10K, I would not be selling, if I did not have too. :duh:
