Great idea Jeff, just updated mine as well.

An alternative hotel: I booked two nights at the "Hotel Denver Tech Center" which is pretty close to the fest for $62.30/night through hotels.com. Even though I'm local, I don't feel like making the 50 mile round trip each day so I'm opting to stay at a hotel.

I have to bail.  Mom's going in for some surgery a week before, so I might
be hopping a last minute plane to Wisconsin.

Have a drink on my behalf, I was really looking forward to meeting some
of the AK members!

Perhaps some of you will stop up here to the VSAC show in May 08!!

Thanks guys!  Much appreciated...

It's been the year of Family and Friends going to the hospital!
Just glad my wife, daughter and I have stayed out of harms
reach this year.

(though I almost lost a nut lifting a few really big speakers
this year!!)

I'll catch you guys at CES or perhaps if you come to Portland, Oregon
next spring for VSAC!

  Days To Go !!!

I was going a little math.....140 rooms this year at RMAF....22 show hours....1,320 minutes. So.....if I spend no more than 8 minutes in each room ....I can see them all.

Once again....ain't gonna get to them all....and I don't think anyone else will either... :?  :duh:

Daedalus Audio at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2007
« Reply #139 on: 30 Sep 2007, 01:05 pm »
After attending a few CES shows, I will be attending RMAF for the first time this year. The rooms are seemingly all pretty good in terms of size and acoustics and the list of manufacturers that will have products on display is awesome. I expect to visit many rooms with great sound and surely there will be some technically fascinating products to look at.

That being said, after loving a pair of Daedalus DA-1's for the last two years, driven by a Modwright LS36.5 pre/SWP9.0 phono and a pair of Dodd 120 mono's, I am most interested in listening to the new Daedalus speakers, especially the Ulysses, a pair of which I which I have on order with Lou. I've heard some incredible things about them, the Ulysses in particular, including one behind the scene speaker designer who has heard them and said they were the speakers he would buy right now regardless of cost. For a guy who helps design six figure speakers, that is a compliment if I ever heard one.

I'm not sure of the rationale behind the unusual offset tweeter arrangement or the new crossover design Lou is using, but if it is a giant leap over what I have, I can't wait to hear his room. It is where I will go first.

Look forward to meeting many of you in a few days.
