I will try to personally attend this year. We have a few ideas for what we're going to do for 2007's showing.

Now I just need to find a way to get my butt on a plane.

Why is that a problem?  :D

I would rather walk across the Antarctic barefoot than fly. I may have to make vacation arrangements and drive out. I have family in Denver so a place to stay is not an issue.

I spent some time in CO some years ago and a couple weeks camping in the Rockies. The most beautiful place I have ever been in my first 17 years of traveling across the country and abroad.

I, and hopefully my wife, will be there -- but then again, it's only 40 minutes down the road from us.

Looking forward to meeting more AC'ers next year -- this year met Brad in Houston, Lonewolf, openly baffled, Louis, and maybe others I didn't realize were AC folks.

Hopefully the snow and ice will melt by then :).

Help, I need some ammunition to use on the wifey to schedule the trip.  She has yet to acquire the love of audio equipment and I would really like to go.  Why, I'am not really sure other than AudioCircle members make it sound like Audio Meca!

It's a show for the "average joe".  Many smaller companies show up.  As a result. the appeal is very very broad.  The atmosphere is very relaxed.  The usual sales hype is a little toned down, and besides here's a show where you can actually afford a lot of the stuff being sold.  The hotel rooms are a good buy for the value.

Combine it with a sightseeing trip into the mountains for a few days.

Downtown Denver has improved 1000% since the 1960s.  Does she shop?  Does she eat?  Does she buy books: Tattered Cover Book Store.

Also, don't go without stoppoing at Twist and Shout, a record store right next to Tattered Cover.

Does she like small, cozy cafés?

Denver is a really great city.  If i could only combine the parts I like about Denver with the parts i like about Copenhagen, it would be the world's greatest city.

Finally, there is a thriving hifi equipment mfrg industry in Denver. Too many to mention - like Seattle, but better, I think.

My favourite 3 US cities: Portland, Denver, Saettle-SF-San Diego tie

Sunshinedawg and I drove straight from NY to Boulder, CO back (as part of our 31 day drive around America) in the old college days in my trusty Nissan Sentra.   aa

It was quite an adventure and we have stories that I am sure that we will both be telling to our grandkids one day.

Hope you make it out Bill.

Lonewolfny42, thanks for posting the reminder. I just made my flight reservations. Southwest airlines offers a $79 one-way internet rate from most cities. Hotel rates for the 12th-14th are $89 single and $99 double. This is far less than I would have expected, so it's not terribly expensive to attend the RMAF, and it's definitely the place to be if you're into two channel audio. See you there.  :D
