Hi, Laura. Toni Rambold should join this discussion. I have the 180g from Classic Records re-mastered by Bernie Grundman (hope I'm spelling his name right). I also have the original Atlantic. The 180g is what I'm listening to.
You know that speaker positioning thing? I swear my room is perceptively gone now. Physically, my room is probably why! Sounds like a contradiction, I know. It's the synergy, I think, between room and placement that's freakin destroying the difference between my time and space and what I'm hearing from whenever and wherever! What I'm hearing is making more sense to me more profoundly and it feels very right.
I will PM Toni and ask her to weigh in on this.
I was amazed at the difference moving my speakers another foot or so from the side wall made. I am not convinced I have found the
right position in my room where, as you say, it
feels very right. I am close and I hope to find the synergy between speaker placement and my treated room today. I have them off their stands so I can more easily move them (102lbs ea) as I am trying different positions, both forward and from side to side. I will report my findings on the acoustics circle.
Happy Thanksgiving
Laura
