How were they, as if I need to ask aa.LauraHi Laura,It was the first time I saw Brett Dennen and he has a nice "act". His band is very tight. A lot of his songs have a reggae beat or flavor, and he encourages the audience to sing along on a lot of his songs. As for GPN, this is the third time I've seen the band live in the past 11 months. The new members, Catherine Popper and Benny Yurco are fitting in nicely with the other members. Especially Catherine, I think she's a better bass player than Bryan was with the band. The band played five or six new songs that will be included in their new album coming out next spring. Grace was also encouraging the audience to sing along on some of the older songs, and it was apparent that a lot of them knew the lyrics. As usual, the band gave a fantastic performance. You can feel the energy from the band the whole concert, especially since I was standing right in the front, by the center of the stage.

Brett was highlighted for a long stretch and he's music was varied and very cool in the singer-songwriter vein. Paul, none of it had a reggae sensibility, so I'm assuming things are changing. It's cool seeing what's happening here. Having fun.Len
Max Roach & Anthony Braxton: One in Two, Two in One (1979) Incredibly creative free jazz, 2 songs + 74 minutes= creative art. SAMPLES Cheers,Robin
