Any chance of just buying the plan?  Under agreement not to distribute, of course.  Some of us may not be able to afford the kit in the limited time available to us.

Danny - will these be offered with XBL^2 technology once you have the drivers to your liking? If so, how will these compare in sound and price to the LS6 or LS9? What situations would favor one over the other? The reason I ask about the XBL^2 technology is I'm not interested in getting speakers with attached subwoofers... just the arrays. Lastly, what are we realistically looking at in terms of a time table? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

I've been pondering similar things.
My last thought, in order to possibly remove the subwoofer was to use 8 - 16ohm XBL2 midwoofers (4 above and 4 below the midrange drivers).  This might extend the response to 35hz without the subwoofer.  Danny do you think the 200hz cross-over filter would need to be modified in order to use 8 16 ohm XBL2 drivers? If not, it might be a nice option without requiring any xo tweak.

No doubt it is an exciting design that could lead to a wide line-up.

Good luck Danny!

Here are some more name ideas, I don't know how much you like foreign words, but this is what I came up with:

Aeolus/Aeolian series- Greek god of air
Ilma/Ilman series- Finland god of air
Brisa series- "breeze" in Spanish
Njord/Njordic series- Norse god of air
or there's Etherial, I don't know if anyone suggested that yet.

Hey Danny,

When is a good time to contact you by phone?  I've got a couple questions about these speakers, and also about picking them up in person that would be easier to talk about over the phone.

You might try the email contact form on GR-Research.com, that's how I've gotten ahold of him.

I don't think they have been. I haven't ordered any, I just had some questions about picking things up in general.

I am waiting on another shipment of M-130 woofers to get here and then they will be made available. The shipment is due into DFW on Monday (today). I hope they arrive on time.
