I know the Beach Boys played there in '76. (I was there.) But I'm pretty sure they played there a few other years too.

Merriweather Post Pavilion -  They used to have a LOT of great concerts (everyone came) there in the 70's and 80's. The covered open-air venue had fantastic sound. Saw Rickie Lee Jones (great concert), America, Pat Metheny and a few others there. I forgot all about that place.

I think it was '76......bicentennial celebration!

Merriweather Post Pavilion - seen many many great concerts there.

Might have been Santana at the Mosque in Elizabeth NJ in 1968/69. Only had the first album out at the time so they started playing the songs twice for the encore. Soul Sacrifice twice in one night.

Also saw some shows at Convention Hall in Asbury Park back then. I remember Steppenwolf and Paul Revere and the Raiders. Separate shows thank god. Back then you always got a long drum solo.

By 1970, I was going to concerts all the time. Fillmore East, Convention Hall and The Sunshine Inn in AP, MSG and the Felt Forum, local colleges, clubs in NYC and the Capitol in Passaic when they opened.

Some of my stubs:
