Forgot to mention the G Men looked great today. Peaking just in time!

Indeed they are.

Next week will be very tough, but today, they were dominate all around.

Nice to see a big win at home.

Go BIG BLUE!

Reminds me of what the Giants did a few years ago when they got hot and steamrolled their way through the post season...peaking just in time.  They are playing with confidence and playing very good defense.  Their work is cut out for them but I wouldn't bet against them!

Ike Taylor got owned.  The dumbest football I've seen in a while.
How the Steeler's consistently lets receivers get behind them in just beyond me.
Stupid plays by Troy and Harrison more than once.  The injuries put them in a jam but sheer stupidity sealed the deal.
Gotta give Denver credit they dictated the game.  Give Tebow credit, he played very well.  Thomas was outstanding.
O'm sure Tebow will be back next year with even more of a tailored made offense I'm sure.

Come on, are you serious?  Everyone criticised the pick, heck, they laughed at the pick.  So did I.  It's fun to see a guy so few gave a chance to even play QB in this league (including so many D-Bag "experts") win a big playoff game against the Steelers.  The guy had 2 passing TD's (one game winner), over 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, one rushing TD and no turnovers.  Is that not good enough for you?

Tom Brady is a future hall of famer.  It's not fair to compare any young QB to him and the great team he has played for his whole career.  How funny is it that Tebow is still playing and your Lions are home after getting humiliated by Brees and company.

Comparison to Brady because he was a late draft Pick that could barely start on his college team but tebow won a heisman and was drafted high, he's certainly not a nobody. And I will say it... I'll take Brady, Brees, Stafford, big Ben when healthy, the lesser manning and others all over Tebow. The Broncos played well as a team, but it's all about their qb in the media. He had a solid game for sure but the Steelers didn't play all that well either.

It's funny because every time the Broncos win a game with Tebow, all of the haters like you are quick to give excuses as to why they won.  That game was more than solid, but I don't expect a fair assessment from you.

What ya'll think about the other games? New York rock or what?  How about my Texans?  Oh, shite, they have to go to Baltimore next.  New Orleans at San Francisco?  Anybody?

Oh, and while Denver was way impressive and I'm overjoyed for them (they played to win, finally!), I have to shout out, again, for the G-men.  I mean, wow, 2 points is all Atlanta could score.  All in the race are favorites of mine* except Baltimore and San Francisco, but that's just me.

*Denver, only recently, cause of their QB

The Giants were dominant but I think an important part of that was Matt Ryan's perennial choke and Mike Smith's terrible coaching. The Atlanta defense held the Giants pretty well in the first half but they just spent too much time on the field. By the second half, they started to slip and the Giants took good advantage of that lapse.

The Broncos thrilled me with their aggression and their discipline, neither one of which has been a hallmark of their play under John Fox. I do think the absence of Ryan Clark compromised the Steeler defense who really got jobbed by the Broncos throughout. Add in Ruthlessgroper's injury status, the absence of Pouncey and Mendenhall helped too.

How do we feel about the NewImproved Broncos in Foxboro next week? Brady is rumored to possibly have some sort of injury and the Pats defense gives up a lot of points. Do the Broncos have a snowball's chance in hell of staging another upset?

I am greatly disappointed but want to congratulate the Broncos and their fans!  The Broncos were the better team yesterday and good luck through the remainder of the playoffs.  I have to suffer with this deep dejected feeling of the playoffs being over for me!

Good luck to the 8 remaining teams!

You still have the Pens.  I hope Sid the Kid is back on the ice again soon. He is a gifted player and a joy to watch.

Pounceys absence was huge, the backup center caused a fumble and had several others come close. Bens injury hurt them terribly in the first half but hats off to the Denver defense for getting on him quickly.

This is what I expected from you.  More excuses and credit to everyone but Tebow.  Those other factors played a major role but so did Tebow's late game heroics.  The Tebow-haters will never admit this guy is special and can win in this league. Your comments only help to illustrate my point.  Thanks!

If not for that fumble, the Steelers have a chance near the end of the game albeit would be on a record setting fg in Denvers thin air.

You're the same guy who downplayed Staffords skills because he has one great WR.

Tebow played a solid game but his passes weren't pristine. The Steelers covered poorly.

Denver deserved to win the game and the refs took away what would have been a great scoring opportunity while they were way up.

Ditto.  No excuses, but being that the game was so close no one can discount losing all of the defensive line, the quarterback of the defense Clark, the quarterback and anchor of the offensive line Pouncy, one of the best running backs in the league, and Ben being hobbled.  You play with the players available, but it was a case of the Steelers being a Mash unit that made the difference.  Tebow played well and congrats to the Broncos, I love the kid and wish him all the best, but don't be fooled into thinking the Broncos have arrived.

If not for that fumble, the Steelers have a chance............

That's like me saying (which I have) that if it weren't for Troy P. stripping the ball from Flacco last year, the Ravens would have kicked Steeler butt.

Doesn't matter.

The ink is dry. Let's look toward next week and what might happen then. And let's remember that officiating incompetence can change everything quickly. Hochuli and Triplette are more dangerous than any player.

The Pats are a good team, no defense but great offense.  If the Broncos lose the game, does this mean Tebow is not fit to be a pro QB?

I was thinking about why I enjoy this team winning so much.  I'm not a bible thumper, not a Bronco fan, and not even an AFC fan.  I did not like Tebow at Florida and laughed when he was drafted so high by Denver.  Oh, I wasn't a Josh McDaniel fan by any stretch.  I thought he was cocky and could not believe he let Cutler get away.

It occurred to me why it's so much fun to see the Broncos do well: seeing "experts" proven wrong.  The majority of football "experts" said this guy would never be able to play in this league.  Please note, they didn't just say he would never be great, they said he could never play and win consistently in the NFL, before he ever took a single snap.  It's fun watching them squirm and try to make excuses as to why this young man has been so "lucky" every time he pulls a game out.  Yesterday's game was no exception.

There is a good reason Denver's receivers get single coverage most of the time.  Teams are daring Denver to to win by throwing the ball.  The Steelers were gambling on the Broncos running the ball on that first drive.  It seemed like a safe bet because that's what Denver usually does.  That bomb caught them off guard, big-time.  It happened most of the day.  The Steelers were not expecting long passes and they got burned all day long as a result.  Tebow had 316 yards but only completed 10 passes.

Regarding blown calls, this is an interesting phenomenon.  Most people, myself included, tend to focus on the blown calls that go against our teams and discount the ones that go in favor of our favorite teams. Listen to a local TV broadcast of any sport and listen to broadcast from the opposing team and you will hear two completely different games.  Two sets of people watching the same event and seeing two completely different things.  I listen to local broadcasts of Bears, Sox and Bulls on the radio when the game is playing and it's very funny.  Local "homer" announcers usually complain about every penalty that goes against their team and don't say much when similar infractions are called against the opponent's team.  If you haven't tried this, give it a shot.  It's easy to do if you have Sirius Radio.  They offer local broadcasts of both teams' home announcers.  It's a funny window into how two people can watch the same event and have two completely different opinions as to what they are watching.

It appears the same thing happens with Tebow.  So many people love him and so many hate him.  People who hate him are quick to jump on him when he plays poorly (and he has played very poorly at times this year) and make excuses when he plays exceptionally well as he did yesterday, giving him almost no credit.  The flipside is true for his fans and supporters.

The Pats have a poor defense this year and they'll surely be playing more zone after what happened to the Steelers yesterday.  So, Denver should get good yardage on the ground and take more time away from Brady.  And Tebow CAN throw long and probably will.  The Pats are kind of one dimensional of late but they have the QB and recievers to put opposing teams behind the 8 ball.  Can Denver defend Brady?  Belechek?  I spell that right?  Score a lot?

Can Houston's 3rd string QB burn the Ravens?  You know they will be playing the run.  I'm definitely pulling for Houston and hope Mr. Phillips' D keeps it low scoring so we can win in the fourth.

Go New York! :dunno:

Go New Orleans! :dunno:

I'll have to disagree with the people hate Tebow sentiment.  I don't think people dislike him as much as many would think.  It's all media driven, I think people are tired or hate hearing about Tebow, especially in some mythical fashion he's portrayed as.  I would ask how many of you have heard more than 5 sentences spoken from the mouth of Tebow.  I would bet most of america has not heard this young man say more than a paragraph.  People react to headlines and stories, they know nothing about Tebow beyond that fact that he's plays football and is religious.  The people hating Tebow for his religion angle I think is total media hyperbole.  I for one could case less and I bet most people feel the same way.

The first thing I saw on Yahoo today, "Tebow's heroic performance"  I saw the game what was heroic about it?  It's all media driven.  The media prompts people to dislike or like someone either by the angle they take or by sheer over saturation.  At this point most people who are not Tebow fans are probably just all Tebow'ed out.  But I do find the story an interesting one and has me intrigued to see how far the magic carpet rides lasts.  There is definitely something interesting going on.
