I don't know so much about that.

William Clay Ford (and the Ford Motor Comapny) pay a lot of cash to th NFL for advertising.  I think a Lions/Packer matchup in the post season would be just fine with the league.  They could play up a lot of the old history.

Now, having said that, it's hard not to pick the Saints.  BUT...you never know.

Detroit is going to be taken to school in this one.  :D

Go Saints,

The league wants a Saints Packers game imo

I wouldn't mind seeing those two teams play each other they are exciting to watch and they have been the best NFC teams all year.

I like seeing new teams in the superbowl, but I suspect we will have at lease one favorite in the game. My guess is the Pack.  A Packers-Pats superbowl would be fun to watch...I hate to admit.

Cujo, are you kidding?  This has been a very fairly called game.  The Lions are looking good so far. The defense is tightening up and the ball is bouncing their way.  Entertaining game so far. Much better than the Bungles came earlier today.

Detroit's defensive line is penetrating every play and being held with no flag. On the play near the end of the half where Avril was off sides, the flag wasn't thrown until the receiver dropped the pass. Coincidence? You like New Orleans so you won't agree, but it's pretty clear that Detroit isn't being helped by any of these calls. Oh, and how about the fumble that couldn't be returned? I've seen it called before, but again, not helping Detroit at all.

Although I predicted a NO victory, I would love to see the Lions play the Pack.  By the way, the Lions benefitted from that fumble call because they recovered after the whistle.  The ball should have stayed with New Orleans.  The lions have had a horse shoe up their butts the whole game.   Looks like their luck is running out.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I predict the Lions' season will be over in about an hour and some change.

That helmet grab right there with no call says it all.

I don't even need to comment on the bad officiating it's so obvious  :duh:

That move is straight from the Detroit playbook.  You didn't seem to mind when Suh did it to Cutler and there was no flag!

You should be more angry about your team's inability to tackle.

Wait, what? You're bringing up one play that the league fined Suh for in order to back up the refs making up a bad call? You don't like Suh making that play but its okay for the Saints?

Sorry, I missed your questions because I was too busy watching the Saints walk all over that Deroit defense.  Let the excuses begin...

The only thing upsetting about him is that a Bears fan won't root for his own division.

Cujo, I'm just razzing you.  If Detroit does well, maybe it will force the tight-wads who own the Bears to spend some of that $20 million they have under the salary cap.

Megatron is a man among boys out there.  I'd throw to him every time because he can't be stopped.  Good game so far.  The Lions are playing well.

If the Saints convert one more time on fourth down, Cunther Gunningham's head is going to explode!

Wow, the refs missed the obvious Saints' holding on Sproles' TD run.    :o

I'm sorry I don't want to sound like a total homer, but this has been a really one sided affair by the refs. As a fan, it's frustrating. Not a single holding called on New Orleans. Perhaps I was watching a different game. Congrats to Saints fans, though, officiating has nothing to do with their team and they are quite good. Brees has been fantastic and their running game was great.

This is not a comment about the NO-Detroit game, but I do feel the refs take a back seat during the playoffs.  Oh, they have to show they are there, they call obvious fouls, but as a rule, they are more invisable.  I think this is encouraged by everyone behind the scenes.

BTW, it's just my opinion but I think the Broncos are really gonna be embarrassed tomorrow.  Would like to be wrong, but I can't imagine it.

Disclaimer: I am a Saints fan...

I was very very unhappy with the refs. I saw plenty of holding on both sides that got by, the Saints' had a fumble that wasn't, to go with the Lions' touchdown that wasn't.

I also found it pretty pathetic how the the announcers went on about the fumble, and what a tough call it was, but conveniently stopped showing the close-up angle that indicates otherwise. At least they pointed out the fact that the play was blown dead before Detroit got their hands on the ball.
