Theoretically I wouldn't expect much life left in a rubber suspension of a 30-years old MC cartridge. But maybe I'm wrong.
I read a post by a high end cartridge manufacturer. He hand builds carts in the $4K range I believe. He has tons of 30 year old carts that were given to him. He said that he never saw the rubber deteriorate on one of these. It's the suspension wire that usually goes. I thought the same as you guys before I read his post. neo
Good response Worth a punt, especially if you get some form of returns agreement if not happy.
Simoon,This guy sounds reliable. Never the less, I'd go for the LT. It's more desirable than an E. He may be telling the truth, but maybe he hasn't even loosened up the suspension.
