Ouch!

Johnny Winter
I just looked up his age he'll be 67 on Feb 23rd talk about rode hard and put away wet.
He comes to Penns Peak once in awhile. I'm told that he is wheeled on stage. He can't
make it out on his own

And just think, Rick Sprinfield is only 6 years younger.

No, but how's his singing?

This was the first time I had seen Roger without his Pink Floyd bandmates and I thought his singing was spot on--better than he sounded at the Live 8 Pink Floyd reunion.

I disagree. His recent album " No Better Than This" , IMHO, is one of his best.

+1

When PBS-TV runs those fundraising drives, they sometimes show the old folk artists reunited.  Many of them come off pretty well.

Can this thread be renamed "long slow train wreck"?

I was a Billy Joel fan from the '80s. Seems to me he knew when to step down.
Last I heard he's a yacht designer in the north east.

Long live the Piano Man.

Oh and Phil Collins has Got To Gooo!  :P

Phil Collins has gone. His passion now is Alamo memorabilia...as odd as that seems.

How about a sub-category for long slow fades

Tony Bennett? - now a mere shadow of his former greatness

Cher - say what you like, but in her prime she could certainly sing perform

as for Johnny- that's certainly scary:
excerpt from interview (Guitar World Sept /10) :

Quote
I had another girlfriend at the time, and I was trying to make up my mind between Susan [Winter’s wife, whom he married in February 1992] and this other girl. I started taking all of these drugs to deal with anxiety and depression, and it turned out the drugs weren’t good for me at all. They helped at first, but I took them for way too long, and, over time, I was taking much too high a dosage.

I can remember from the early 70's that he was a bit of a scarecrow, but the story and above photo is certainly a cautionary tale on so many levels

And yes mr Dylan, it's time to pack it in

It is amazing on how Ruck Springfield still looks at 61 years old.

I think he bears a striking resemblance to Michael Jackson about 15 years ago.  Coincidence?  Inquiring minds want to know.      :icon_twisted:

+1 on Kiss
+1 on the Stones
Is Aerosmith still releasing albums?  If so, them too.

I'll add AC/DC and The Who.

Oh yeah, +1 for The Who. And I _really_ don't like saying that. Man, that last record was awful.
