Just heard Bob Bryant playing on Lockjaw Davis' "Trane Whistle".He solos on the tune 'The Stolen Moment', see if you can find at least this song online. I first heard it on Pandora, and bought the album as a result.
Being a trumpet player we usually enjoy performers for different reasons. For me I will always be a Maynard guy, even though the old school jazz guys don't like him. Im so happy i got to listen to him at one of his last concerts even though at that point he wasn't the same player he was 20 years before. Second would be either Herb Alpert or Bill ChaseFav recording probably Admiral's horn or Manteca
