It also helps that almost every single vinyl disc has pre and post echo. This is a crosstalk between the groves, so you can quietly hear the next grove and the previous grove together with the actual one. At 33 rpm this is about 2 sec time difference, which is a good echo delay for a medium size hall. Of course it feels livelier and more spacious when you have an added echo to the original signal

That may be right, but that don't sound like what I'm hearing.  Are you saying that is simply THE explanation?  Imagery is nicely tactile and separation is very clear in sections of an orchestra.  If what you are saying were audible, wouldn't what you've pointed to have an effect on that?  Thanks.

Nope.  However, I'm old enough that I predate CD.  But, I happen to like CD.  I won't debate all the pros and cons of vinyl versus CD, that's pointless.  But the digital bashing does get old and it's completely unwarranted IMO.

Meh... Not really. Elvis basically just was present because he had to be. He wasn't exactly a model soldier, and didn't even complete his tour there.
