You can simply go to 127.1.1.0:9000 (I believe that's the right IP - I'm sure port 9000 is correct) and bring up the web interface from your server directly on any web enable device - like an iPhone as long as it's connected to your LAN.Bryan
Unless it's a USB or firewire DAC, I don't understand why (as the others suggest) you don't continue to use a Squeezebox as the transport.
If you want to connect the DAC to your PC and want to use iPeng just install Squeezeplay. It is the successor of Softsqueeze and is under development by the same team as Squeezecentre. mY 2cts.Michiel
OK, I'm very puzzled. I searched for Squeezeplay, but in trying to download it I seem to get just another version of SqueezeBox Server, which of course will not output to anything other than a Logitech device. What am I missing?
I tried JRiver but while it has a great PC GUI, the Rivermote is complete crap.
The most recent stable version of squeezeplay you will find here:http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.5I have only experience with the OSX version.Michiel
The IP address I posted will give you the same screen on your mobile device effectively that you see on your server in the other room.Bryan
Michiel,I have Squeezeplay installed and running. It sees my music library just fine. However, there doesn't seem to be any sort of setting that allows me to control where it outputs the music. So it 'plays' music, just doesn't produce any sound. Any advice? Thanks,Ian
