Joe/Bill/Art,
The room was great.  It was one of my top ten rooms, soundwise, and the Purity statement preamp was gorgeous to look at.  Since I honestly have no idea of what the Rethms or electronics are supposed to sound like, I can't honestly single out the Purity preamp...all I know is that the room produced beautiful music with a nice soundstage and great imaging.  Congrats.  That had to be a mammoth undertaking to introduce a completely new product line AND set this thing up!  Great job.

I liked it.  I have heard Rethm before in Bills room with a previous model preamp and did not think it was good.  Different year, different preamp and I like it.  The RAAL dipole "super twitter" helped too.  I use a Fostex Super twitter on my Omega super hemp and I wouldn't do without it.

Anyway, I put my money where my mouth is by buying the preamp.  It will replace my 3 box Aesthetix Callisto Signature and MBL 5011.  I really like my preamps but I feel like I can get both the best of SS quality in MBL and the best of tube quality in Aesthetix in the Purity Preamp.  Joe gave me 30 days to check it out in my room so we shall see.  I am looking forward to it.

I look forward to your comments on the pre.  Which one (level) did you purchase?

Will you start and new thread or comment here?

It was delicious in there, Bill :thumb: as I've already stated in the RMAF thread.

One of the more enjoyable experiences I've had listening to a digital-led front end

woodsyi, who forced me there (kidding, of course, as I did want to meet you, but with dwindling time at the show I may not have otherwise..but I always glad hand with happy Magna Cart owners  :icon_lol:) did indeed buy the preamp I see now :)

John,
Thank you very much for the kind words. It was a lot of hard work but the show went better than I could have hoped for. If it was not for the help of our Purity Audio Design team, things may have been different. This debut has been in the works for a few years now.

jtwrace - Thank you as well for all you feedback. It's feedback like this that keeps us striving.

woodsyi - please do keep us updated once you have time on it in your system. It was a pleasure meeting you in person.

It was really great to meet you and the rest of the crew as well. You can bet on seeing more of us and your team together in the future. It was a great experience for me. Especially the interaction with all the great people I met and was able to hang out with.

OK.  I've been looking at the Magna Cart profile picture wondering....Do you own the company or sell them or???

Hi Mariusz,
My partner, Jam'n Joe, also took some decent photos of the preamp with a few close-ups. Once he downloads these and sends them along to me, I will post them if the reviewers don't get to it first.

Oh yeah! Please do.
PAD preamplifier was one of the most striking component of the show (from what I could see in various reports).  :thumb:

Thanks for finding that Mariusz. Looks like StereoMojo was among the first to get them up. Please do me a favor in the future and not use "PAD" as it gets confused with another company.
