Hi Pete,

As you move up the line, there are several enhancements per level. The Purity One and Basis Pre are two different designs all together as we wanted a 6SN7 design in the line. These two units also do not come equiped with balanced features. The One has the option.

The Reference and Silver Statement are quite far apart. The differences are to numerous to list here but all the informatio is available on the web site. www.purityaudiodesign.com

A photographer will be handling the professional picture duties once we have all the models done in the new chassis. I think you will be quite impressed.

There have been a lot of inquiries about the Purity One chassis.

Wow! The Purity design is a work of art! I am sure it sounds just as nice as it looks. One question: why is the gain (13 dB) so low? Can it be increased?

I have to give it to the engraver Bill, he did a great job. I couldn't tell from the pictures on my phone how nice they turned out but he did a awesome job and I really like the silver back fill.

The Purity Silver Statement preamp will be in use in room 502 on the 5th floor, Atrium tower at RMAF this coming month with the Reference and One on static display. We will have a Reference and Statement in the first chassis design available to take to other rooms for evaluation in the evenings if there is interest.

The Basis preamp will be in room 509 on the same floor/tower. This is the Von Schweikert Audio room were they will be showing the new VR33 speaker which I hear is suppose to be something quite special for it's price. We are very proud that Von Schweikert Audio chose to use our Purity Basis preamp in their room and we invite everyone to stop by for a listen in both rooms.

A quick update on the Basis Pre special.

Only a very limited number of these are available at this special pricing and are for in house manufactured chassis. After RMAF, the Basis chassis will be manufactured by the same company currently manufacturing our Purity Series chassis.

We are also changing the uprights on the chassis to a large, frosted clear rather than black for a bit more contrast. At this special pricing you have your choice. Not apparent in the photos above, there is a blue LED for each source that lights up behind the # source in use. 1 2 3 4.

The feedback we are receiving from users and dealers (both domestic and internationally) has been ourstanding.

Now is your chance to preorder the Basis Pre or Basis pre 1.1 with enhanced power supply (full polypropylene and choke filtered) at a price that will never be seen again.

Correct, remote source is found only on the Reference and Statement. The design used also allows use to keep all signal grounds separated. Without sharing signal grounds, we are able to get an extremely low noise floor with no crosstalk. (not that the other pieces are not very quiet)

As an update on the Purity One linestage. This unit is equipped with balanced outputs as a standard rather than an optional feature due to consumer demand. We will still have an option for one set of balanced inputs.

The Basis Pre:

Viewing our web site, you will notice we have now gone with only one Basis Pre model at this time. The reason for this is due to the fact that the price points were too close which would cause confusion as to the differences between the two models. The Basis Pre now comes standard with a choke filtered, full polypropylene power supply. The chassis has also been beefed up a bit now using 1/4" top and bottom plates.

To save some time and confusion. We have been asked many times what the input/output features are on these products:

Basis Pre- 4x single ended inputs. / 1x HT bypass / 2x single ended output

One - 6x single ended inputs / 2x balanced outputs / 2x single ended output
(outputs all transformer coupled)

Reference - 3x balanced inputs / 3x single ended inputs (all transformer coupled) / 2x single ended outputs / 2x balanced outputs (all transformer coupled)

Silver Statement - - 3x balanced inputs / 3x single ended inputs (all silver transformer coupled) / 2x single ended outputs / 2x balanced outputs (all silver transformer coupled)
The Silver Statement also incorporates an autoformer based passive mode which also utilizes full transformer coupling at both the inputs and outputs.
