Want to answer a few questions we have been receiving.

In regard to delivery times, all orders taken prior to the show will be delivered throughout November. Show samples that are sold will be shipped just after the show.

The Basis Pre will be equipped with a heavier chassis than that seen in the photos. The top and bottom plates on both chassis will use 1/4" acrylic rather than the 1/8" shown. Also, the uprights for these chassis will be frosted acrylic rather than black..

The HT Bypass found on the Basis is a passive setup. When using this feature, the Basis is not to be powered up saving on tube life of the 6SN7's.

The Basis hybrid amplifier will not be officially released till after the first of the year. We are currently working on the chassis design.

The Basis Pre:

Viewing our web site, you will notice we have now gone with only one Basis Pre model at this time. The reason for this is due to the fact that the price points were too close which would cause confusion as to the differences between the two models. The Basis Pre now comes standard with a choke filtered, full polypropylene power supply. The chassis has also been beefed up a bit now using 1/4" top and bottom plates.

Lots of questions regarding pieces availabe in the clearance sale. Here are answers to some of the more common questions:

The Audio Note Custom DAC 2.1 Custom is ~~Pending Payment~~. SOLD

The Basis preamp does not have remote volume or the HT Bypass switch. The chasis is not veneer. It is solid 1/8" hardwood over 1/2" Baltic Birch.

The itemes listed under the system sale are not owen by myself but I have full control over inquiries that come in for them.

Now through October 20th will be a couple of crazy weeks. Communication will be mostly via email just prior to and while at RMAF. If you need to contact us for any reason, please follow the schedule below.

We will continue taking orders for the RMAF special pricing on the Purity Preamps (20% off) till noon on Tuesday the 12th. If you are interested in purchasing one of the show pieces ,at 25% off, please try to do so prior to Tuesday so we have time to process the order before leaving so we know to hold the unit for you. We will close Tuesday at noon and not reopen the shop till Wednesday the 20th.

We will be going by the following schedule:

Friday Oct. 8th: Open till 3PM and accepting phone calls

Saturday and Sunday: Please email with your inquiry, phone number and time frame to call back. We will be checking emails regularly and will return calls promptly.

Monday the 11th: Open till 2PM and accepting phone calls

Tuesday the 12th through Tuesday the 19th: Please email with your inquiry, phone number and time frame to call back. We will be checking emails regularly while at RMAF and will try to return calls periodically. Please keep in mind we will be traveling most of the morning on the 13th and all day on the 18th.

Back in the shop Wednesday the 20th.

We have made some changes to this unit. Please see the updated first post. We have also lowered the price to $2,795.

Main changes: Brand new Gold Point Custom stepped attenuator built with Dale RN 1% resistors installed (non-remote). ** Poliches aluminum control knobs installed for a cleaner, classy look. ** Vented acrylic top installed.

Updated pictures will be available upon request.

Regarding the Purity Basis Pre 1.1 being used at the show, we are offering further discounting on the show piece. While the circuit is 100%, the chassis is not. Because this is not what we would sell as a production unit chassis, we are offering the show piece at a higher discount. The piece shown in this thread in the above post is the actual piece.

With so many AC members coming into the Purity Audio Design room, I though it would be good to start a thread to get your honest feedback on the room. This was our RMAF debut and we could not have asked for better results from both attendees and the press.

We will also use this thread to post quotes, show coverage and links as they make their way public.

Preamp's shape and look is quite something!!!!

But it wouldn't matter if it did not sound any good.
I am gathering from various comments and reports that it was indeed very special.
However, I smell a cheat with that high end light therapy setup......

Hebrew - thank you for the kind words. I was hoping to see you there but I am sure we will meet some day.

Mariusz, I am quite certain that you will be seeing many up close and personal shots of the Silver Statement preamp in the press coverage as it comes out. We left the top off throughout the whole show and most reviewers and forum photographers got up close and personal.

Using lighting to cheat? No way, not us
