I've surrounded my existing B60R and BDA-1 with newly acquired BDP-2 and 4BSST2. Finally, after 30 years of use, my Chartwell LS3/5A's have been replaced with a pair of Sonus Faber Cremona M's.

It's been a great musical transformation with the new upgrades. Hopefully soon the B60R will be moved to the bedroom (paired with the LS3/5A's) and replaced with an Audio Research Preamp. I'm still sorting out what model suits my system best.

Along with audio gear, I also enjoy RC Helicopters.

I finished my SAB Goblin 500 today and took some pictures while she's still in pristine condition.  You never know how long this condition will last until some replacement parts are needed.

Here's what you can do with one of these machines when you're really good.  Although the ending isn't so good…   :(

Hi Wayne and all Audio Circle members.
Nice chopper.
I think that miniature model hobby can become as expensive as the audio hobby?
Is the motor gasoline or electric?
My former boss (That's 30 years ago) had one huge chopper
and he told me that it takes lots of training
and a few crashes before you can master the technic.

My latest purchase was a custom acrylic (clear) dust cover for my Brinkmann Bardo turntable.

I got it built by Gingko Audio and although it was a little pricy, the crafstmanship is top-notch!

Best Craigslist find ever for me: today I grabbed a near mint Sony PS-X75 Biotracer turntable for $275! It is mint and operates perfectly.  Super Super Rare.

Down sizing project.  Harbeth 30.1's to replace Magnepan 1.7's and Bryston 2.5BSST(2) to replace 4BSST(2).

Bud - would love to hear how you feel about the HArbeth 30.1 after having Maggie 1.7s?

My wife never spent much time listening to the Maggies other than as background music.  Since we've gotten the Harbreth's, she's asked to listen to music together almost every evening since they arrived.  She is constantly telling me how good they sound.

Last night we sat listening to 7 Diana Krall albums with almost no words between us.

As for how they sound all I can say is that they get everything right.  I'm surprised at how they can handle the loudest passages of classical music.  They can reproduce organic sound.  Oboes and clarinets have a wooden sound.  Brass sounds like brass.  Drums on Take Five are reproduced with perfect realism.

Music is seamless from top to bottom.  There is good depth to the sound stage.

It's hard to justify spending over $6K with stands for those little thin-wall BBC monitors until you hear them.  I took a chance buying C7's and once I heard them, I had to try the 30.1's.  I haven't been disappointed.

My entire system is Bryston/Cardas Clear.  I'd like to hear the 30.1's with tubes or an LFD Integrated amp.

If you can find a way to listen to the 30.1's or any Harbreth speaker you should make the effort to do it.

Bud

I should add that I always preferred listening to my Senn HD-800 headphones to my speakers but not anymore.  Since we got the 30.1's I have spent almost no time with the cans.

Gently wipes solitary tear of joy off of face - Laundrew's "Empire" audio stand was delivered today safe and sound. The marble base has a working area of 48"X20" so it should easily accommodate a future turntable and the Esoteric. Very fortunate to find an ornate Empire Commode in this condition with awesome attention to detail.

Now where is the Murphy's oil soap?

Be well...

Hi Laundrew and all Audio Circle members.
May I ask to see the interior of that magnificent piece of furniture.
I am sure you will post pictures of it when it as been fully restored.
They don't make furniture like that anymore and if they do, you have to be a millionaire to afford it.

Greetings Guy 13  :D

No restoration as I do not like antiques to look "new"  just a very good cleaning.

A marked improvement from the previous audio stand - now to list the "audiophile" cinder blocks for sale as I hear they work exceptionally well when utilized in conjunction with wooden knobs.

Be well...
