Thanks for all the compliments and suggestions

My Mom and Dad were up visiting this weekend and ironically, surprised me with a little gift that perfectly coincided with the arrival of my desk. I have always admired a particular piece in their collection for many years and referred to it as "Newton with his apple." They have owned it for as long as I can remember and purchased it at an estate auction while visiting family in Scotland.
It is another timeless slice of history that I am very privileged to call my own for the rest of my life; if only it could comment on the history and day-to-day life of the individuals who have owned it. My dad was mentioning that Newton rivals the vintage of my desk. Looking around my room I realize that it really requires a make over - time to get bold and go for red paint! Next on the agenda is a carved chair and, please be still my beating heart, a Victorian bookcase hopefully in mahogany.
Another interesting observation with the cluttered computer desk gone and the industrial robot removed from the centre of the room has really improved its sonic characteristics.

Be well...
