Hey!
Thanks guys for your input.

A little over a week ago I went to the Korin store here in downtown NYC and got this...
http://korin.com/Togiharu-1000-4000-Two-Sided-Stone?sc=7&category=17374 A two-sided #1000/#4000. It was my first time at the Korin store. Since I have been using their knife I decided to give them a visit. Man! What a store! All those beautiful knives was a eyes candy to look at

They do have couple of stone there. This is the cheapest one and the staff there said that it is a good general stone for maintaining knives. So, I bought it.

As for my Korin knife here. I was given this knife from the chef that I used work with. It is an 8" made from molybdenum VG steel. I actually took it to the Korin store when I was there but the 2 staffs there that day couldn't tell me anything about it. They said this were made before they start working there. Currently I don't think Korin have this style of knife. I think it likely from the late 80's to early '90s and probably made in Japan. Likely around $80-120. Maybe?
Anyway, it is nice to have a stone to keep my knife sharp now.

Take care,
Buddy
