Well, this will be typically something Wayne can address, putting OFF the wireless circuit, when not needed

Or we could just focus on why it is necessary to turn off the wireless. 

If as one poster claims, it affects the power supply, then a better, linear, power supply would solve the problem, though I haven't been able to get a description of what the problem actually is in terms of audible changes.
