The Van Alstine room at last year's RMAF was one of the most musical rooms. From all the positive reviews of the VSA Unifield speakers I know they must be something special but their sound at RMAF did nothing for me, maybe it was the amps, or the room, or a combination of both. It only goes to prove you need to listen to new equipment in your room to see if it plays nice with the rest of your equipment. I recommend AVA because if a person doesn't like the sound then it will only cost you around $30 shipping to send it back.

I would love to hear the VR33's so I'm checking on ticket prices to Denver today.

I'll be hanging out in the VR-33 room 509.  I am supplying an audio rack for the room, the one in my avatar.  I am shipping everything well in advance this year so as to not repeat last year when the shipping company lost my pallet. :cuss:  Hope to see you there...

Hi Martin,
Can you tell me what the width of the rack shelves are, I am supplying the preamp for this room (actual preamp below) and will require about 18"-20" if set side-by-side or about 11-12" stacked. We'll be in  a room just down the hall :thumb: See you there

We are planning to present the VR 77 in Denver at the same time and make the first presentation exclusive for VSA AC Members only.

I will bring a set of Kronzilla's to make them sing like your VR 9's can.(or even more) :)

If you can not make it you will miss something very special.

Ooooh I think it gets even bigger. I believe Albert is bringing VR-9 Mk2s instead of the 77s. At least that's what I gathered from a recent post of his here at AC.

Martin, ES, guess what? Added the NAD C375BEE and voila!! The magic is back!!! No need for the Sunshine Skyway anymore, the 2's are staying here at least another 5 years!!! Wow, I remember why I got them to begin with.

One more big  :thumb: for NAD products. I've always found them to be highly musical and tremendous values. Heck some of their Masters series products belong in the cost-no-object category despite being within $5k.

Our best friend's husband wants to set up his lovely wife with a stereo system as every time she comes to our house she keeps saying "one day Bill I'm going to have a system that sounds like that".
She is graduating in July with her PHD and her husband wants to get her something really special and I mentioned a stereo that she could relax to .
The VR33's are my first choice. :thumb:

I have had my 33's for about 3 weeks. I am still working through placement and break-in but am very encouraged. These speakers do a lot of things right.

I called and placed my order today, got to speak with Albert himself. What a nice guy to talk with! I should have them in about two weeks, looking forward to hearing them!

Pardales,

Am I recalling that you had some Soul Superflys at one point? If so, interested in how those compared to the VR-33s. Auditioning a pair of Superflys as we speak...

Congrats, you will probably get yours a few days before I do, as I will be on vacation when they will be completed. On the plus side, VSA will have more break-in time on them by the time they send them out to me...

Did not see this thread and posted a new thread on the VR-33.  Apologies.

Just one question here.  Anyone here use the VR-33 in a room no larger than 11x13?  basically a bedroom sized room.  Does it work well or is the bass overpowering and the imaging/staging problematic?

Thanks,
UL

Got word that my VR-33s shipped yesterday, woo-hoo! Predictably, production of my speakers was delayed by my request for oak end caps.
