Hi Rick,

Did you mess around with a 3 way monitor design for this one? Could there be a kit opportunity there? Might there be a ribbon that could play well with these other drivers? Okay enough questions  :thumb: The good thing is, is that I have the keys to my architectural firms model shop. Personal projects are verboten, but I can make it look like work  8) Have a great day.

Paul

Working on a dual 7" 3-way monitor right now. A ribbon is certainly possible with a 3-way being a variation of the Tempesta.

Anarchy continues, this time in a dual 7" 3-way with the Morel dome midrange and a Vifa tweeter.  :thumb:

Is this one similar to the RC3R except for the different woofer and tweeter? If so, how does the bass response compare?

Two woofers per side plus the different woofer. Also using the round flange version of the Morel. The Scan woofer will go deeper but for the $ this is an excellent combination.

The Anarchy woofers are also perfect for a compact sealed box if you want a high output satellite.  :thumb:

More anarchy on the way in the form of a slender tower 3-way with four of the beasts per side... :thumb:

Did this one ever get built? Sounds incredible for HT, what is the sensitivity?

Didn't notice this topic was updated. What is a good budget range for the three way?

Rick's done at least two three ways with it. Are you talking about the floorstander with four woofers or the monitor with two?

The monitor with two. The Vifa tweet and morel dome seem like a nice combo here.

No plans for anything further with this design as I prefer the new 7" we're using in the MA-1 over the Anarchy woofer for a 3-way.

Ever get those pictures of the three way?   :D

What about it do you prefer, cheaper price?  Higher sensitivity?  I would assume it's not even in the same category in terms of bass output.  I don't see much wrong with the Anarchy aside from it's not spectacular sensitivity.

Thanks for reminding me - I just sent the builder an email. Better motor design and parameters for the MA-1 woofer and no problem with high output either. I considered the Anarchy but this one I prefer.

It's our latest design and the speaker we had at the recent Axpona show. We are waiting on the woofers to arrive so once all of the parts are available I'll add it to our site.

Rick,

How would you compare the aluminum cone illuminators to the woofers you're using in this design?

To the Anarchy or MA-1?
