I take you like it more the second time around? I had the experience once with Sydney Lumet's "Prince of the City". I was even more in awe of it the third time around.
Jim, I'm with you 100%. I didn't get around to seeing this in theaters because of a back issue, but I finally saw it last week. Let me just say that this is one of those rare films where I have set very high expectations beforehand, and it actually surpassed them upon viewing it. I LOVED this movie.
I think I'm with Ecramer. After everyone raving about it for months I finally saw it last night on bluray. I thought the idea for the movie was pretty interesting but I didn't find it all that good. I did find myself looking at the run time on my Oppo seeing how much longer I had. I didn't hate it by any means, I guess i was expecting a lot more from all the hype and expected to be blown away like I was when I saw Children of Men or Pan's Labyrinth. I kept thinking this was going to be the next movie that made me say "wow!".I'm typically a big SciFi fan and I like films that are "out there" but this one wasn't for me. To each there own.
I must have went to another movie I thought it was a terrible. deplored the the camera style and thought the acting was totally lame. I was looking at my watch 15 minutes into the movie hoping it would be over soon. Do you really think they are going to give the key code to the dna lab to that guy ED
