Oh well, Just for the record, I am not a big Bryston fan.

Now lets see, How long will it take before this post is deleted or
I am banned from Audiocircle. LOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!

I think you have already told us this a few times!

Not to be disrespectful but don't you think a comment like that will not help your cause? What do you think it will accomplish?

If you want your opinions to be respected and taken seriously, then maybe you should back them up with more maturity!

You know guys this circle is suppose to be about the sharing of our love of audio and all that it involves.

It’s really too bad when it degenerates into personal attacks against people or the products they enjoy.
I think we all need to remember what’s most important in life are the people we share the journey with - Merry Christmas.

Thank you James.

I would also like to wish you and your family as well as all regulars on this site a wonderful holiday season...............enjoy the music!

What is and for whom is the  Bryston Circle?
WHy do things get deleted? That's easy to answer. Some simply didn't read and did not respect the rules.ie. It would be completely INAPPROPRIATE for me to go to the Von Schweikert's owner's circle and behave in a manner which is disrespectful to the manufacturer and owners/ potential owners of their products. It does say " for owners and enthusiasts of Von Schweikert loudspeakers". The same applies for any of the circles here at audiocircle.
I have owned lot and lots of gear. There is a lot of good gear out there. The experienced audiophile knows synergy can play a significant role. If I ever reviewed a product which was known to have a stellar reputation and I didn't hear the same things other reviewers did I sure as hell would be trying to figure out why. That is why seasoned reviewers will often try an amp, preamp etc etc in several different configurations and with different loudspeakers of course. Have you ever heard equipment you own and love in another system and it sounded aweful? Of course you have. There is alot more to it than one component.

I suggest to stop feeding the trolls.
In any review that is not done buy a serious musician or an excellent recording engineer, I attribute all the importance to the measurements. Anything else is completely subjective. For me - the ONLY reason to read a Streophile review beyond general information about the device - is the measurements section. That's the only objective part.

Just so you know who I am, I started the Bryston Owners Circle and I am the facilitator. To set the story straight I did not edit or remove any posts. Furthermore I am not able to do so. The thread was edited by an "outside" un-biased party. I did not even know that it would be edited.

I think I am actually a very easy going facilitator and I welcome opinions from all people (not just Bryston owners). However, it needs to be done in a constructive and respectable way by all. Talking about audio should be enjoyable, otherwise why would you do it ?

Hi Steve,

May I suggest that the third party censor somehow be audited as well.  Unlike most of the posters to this heated thread I actually own a pair of 7B SST2's AND have thoroughly read the Fremer review.  I posted my opinion of the review.  It was fair to both sides.  I did so in an attempt to counter the disrespectful tone being advanced by the non Bryston perpetrators, Topround and Tagman.  My post was deleted.  As a bona fide Bryston owner and regular participator in this circle I don't appreciate that very much and would like your explanation as to why that happened.

Regards,

Bill

Tagman,
Going against the grain here on the Bryston circle can get you banned...be careful! :nono:

Only kind words accepted here

I dare you to post this James, wait till I tell your boss what you did.

Tagman, I approved your post - James Tanner is not a facilitator (not that it lessens his importance). I don't think I have ever banned or restricted any person. Somebody else put you on restrictions. While some threads in the past have become overheated, I have never felt the need to restrict anyone because most people calm down after the initial exchanges and start to discuss rather than tell people what they should think.

Bill:

I did not even know the thread had been moved into the quarantine area until James brought it to my attention. As far as I can tell it was edited by the site owner and then moved back to the Bryston circle. I was never given an explanation and I didn't take part in the editing process. I'm not sure why your post was removed, but we have to respect the wishes of the site owner. Otherwise we wouldn't have such a great forum available to us.

HI Steve,

It would be interesting to know from the site administrator what constitutes an infraction of the rules - is that possible? I sure appreciate this forum and I would hate to lose it.

james

PS - what are you doing up so late!

I don't mean to be critical Steve but it seems if you had stepped in 5 days ago with these words of wisdom, things might not have spiraled to the point of intervention and the restriction of 1 individual who had been trying to defend the smearing of a close family friend and ended up having to defend himself. There was very little going on here in the 4-5 days that suggested a friendly community of audiophiles and I would think it's up to you to be fostering this atmosphere with a little guidance before the fact, not after.

Cheers,
Robin

Nobody shouldve lost access here without a board warning first. Its like a hockey fight , you gotta let em battle it out first for a bit, before you seperate them imo. It was left to go on too long here. that person whoever it was should be given access back, unless i am missing a post here that was over the top.

These confrontations don't happen  too often and doesnt seem to represent an on going  problem or attitude with this site.

You could just ask me, you know. Let me know by PM if you would like to discuss what's going on here.

Thanks
