When the MM3 was introduced, it sold for $38K.  Does anyone know what it's price has bloomed to?  I sent a message to J. Tinn about a year ago and as I recall he said $70K then.  I really don't care how good it may sound...I wouldn't be interested due to it's aesthetic.  Those gigantic integrated subs top and bottom, especially the one on top, I find very unattractive.  But then opinions are like posteriors...everybody has one (some larger than others )

I think as far as looks go, the MM2s are much better looking than the MM3s which look like a vintage pulse telephone hand set. I'm also pretty sure that depending on the room they would better an MM3 too. Our VRs are love 'em or hate 'em in terms of looks too. Personally I like the Vader-esque looks of the current generation but I know a lot of people that prefer the sleek old world elegance of speakers done by the likes of Sonus Faber or Vienna Acoustics or the minimalist Star Trek holodeck look of MLs.

Sonically, I've heard neither MM2s nor VR-7s so I cannot begin to postulate their in room behaviors. From what I've heard of their big brothers however, I can say that the 9s, 11s and MM3s are so fast, nimble and extended that upstream components will make or break them.

The happy thing is both Snook and Harve are where they want to be. That's what really matters anyway :)
