I have been working with Tyler Acoustics in developing a new product line that is going to be very impressive. I want every to go to room 1102 at the Marriott and give them a look and listen. Please say hello to Ty as well. He is a very nice guy to work with.

See their web site here: http://www.tyleracoustics.com/

Very cool looking speakers Danny.  aa   You are a busy guy!  I am certain they will sound as good as they look - never heard one of your designs that didn't sound great.  Wish I could make it to the show but things are too busy at work.  I hope to read the reports of the people from AC who attend the show.  One of these days I'll get to go!

Cheers,

Jack

Great looking speakers, Danny!  Best luck in their being a hit at the show!
Are those mid-woofs a new design spec'd by you?  And the tweets?

I went to Tyler's web site and noted the nice veneers they use.  I noticed the prices too  :icon_surprised:

Nice and the shape follows through... with the angle on the side. The first ones look big... is that true or deceiving?
Those monitors look like a new 2nd system purchase though.

Cool stuff Danny.  Tyler has done some good work in the past.  It sounds like I'll be missing out on a big show for you.

I believe the towers are going to be $9,500 a pair.

I'll try to get some specs and detailed info posted on Monday.

What they probably also need is half this speaker - that would fit in most places and most pockets, given the economic down-turn.
Interested to know does it sounds ... compared to LS6/LS9 and other stuff.

Smaller models are coming... I believe 5 different models are in the plans.

It sounds great, but you guys will have to make the comparisons by hearing them both yourself.

Wow, those are sharp looking and I can only imagine they sound fantastic. Any idea who builds his cabinets? I really like the design.

I visited his shop about 1 year ago. And the last I knew him and his brother did. I think that was his brother.

Interesting how taste's differ, I find the cabinets kinda outdated looking, but upon hearing that could disappear. :green:

Danny

Some day when you're sitting around hunting for something to do           how about writing how one designs a speaker system.  What request comes from the buyer, and what constraints come with the request?  Who comes up with the basic cabinet acoustic design and the visual design?  Tell us about choosing off-the-shelf vs. custom drivers.  Tell us about compromises to reach a price point, about compromises for visuals vs. sound, numbers of drivers, assembly considerations, and other compromises that need to be made.  How much of the value should go into the drivers, into the crossover, into better cabinet sonics, and the other things we don't think about technically and functionally and financially.
