1. EAD CDP, Tube Technology Line Stage tube preamp, Stan Warren custom built chip amp

2. EAD CDP, fully tricked out NOS Valves rebuilt H.H. Scott 222C

3. EAD CDP, John Hogan 6sn7/27/300B integrated SET amp

Do I really need anything else? aa

Hey SET Man looking at your picture gallery you look like a bit of a biker. I use to race cross-country mountain bikes but not now as I don’t have enough time.

Nice Klein you have there, I have a Cannondale Killer V2000 and Specialized Rock Hopper sport. I use to do 50 miles a day back and forth to work.

I was in New York for the first time in December 2007 for work. I think I recognise some of the places you took your pic’s would I be correct in saying Brooklyn Bridge? I did a lot of walking around while I was in New York. I come from the England.

     Yes, I like to do some riding but mostly for fun and recreation. Not 50 miles a day to work, I take the Subway to work.

    Yes, the bridge in the photo of my bike is the Brooklyn Bridge.  Still in use since it opened in 1883! A modern marvel if you ask me.

     I need to get out more with my bike and do some riding for sure.

     Anyway, Chris if you ever find yourself in NYC again drop me a line, you are welcome to listen to my system and I will take you to the best Thai restaurant in NYC of which is not far from my place here in Queens.

I love Thai food, I was in Thailand December 2006 visiting my friend. He has been living in Thailand for the last 3 years and has a restaurant on the River Kwai which he runs with his wife, now that was the best Thai food I tasted.

It was funny I found the best Indian restaurant while I was in NYC called Darbar the food was excellent. If you like Indian try it, I think it was on 46th and Lexington Ave.

Ah, for the speakers, I use Klipsch Chorus II's (with upgraded xovers) for the JH SET amp and the H.H. Scott tube amp.  I use a pair of Buggtussel Circa monitors when I use the chip amp.

I just don't think I'm a vinyl type of guy.  Maybe later on down the road.

     Yes, I love Thai food!... but that's no surprise there since I'm originally from Thailand. Actually I spent my early childhood not far from where your friend's restaurant is now by the river in Kanchanaburi I was there last year in September to visit my family. I had a blast while I was there when it come to food. Since it is hard to find truly authentic Thai food here in NYC or anywhere outside Thailand for that matter. I was on eating spree!

     Anyway, Chris drop me a line if you are coming to NYC again.

More music for me too. Going with CD's presently.
Get a preamp together for biamping, and that has phono (trying one out now that may work).
Get a nice tuner, haven't explored the airwaves for awhile.
Start on computer based approach - SB3 maybe.
Restore HK TT.
Sell what's not being used.

Very happy with this years cdp, el84 amp purchases. DIY OB speakers going well too.

Oh yah, and organize my cd's and lp's with shelves and drawers, so I won't crunch em when going through em.

There's one decent place in Boulder... I don;t know why can't Thai restaurants make spicy food? You'd think they would know how, but most times that's not the case. 

Best Thai I ever had was at Wok to Walk in Amsterdam. They serve different styles of asian stir fry besides Thai, but its the best place I've ever been to.... cheap too.

I've met dozens of audiophiles for which listening to music is NOT their priority. The thrill is in the hunt and they will put some damn jungle drums CD over and over and over again listening for weaknesses in their system. Some dudes could easily be classified as ill...borderline insane. And many can't whistle, hum, sing or play one lousy song!

I learned to seperate the hobby of audiophiledom and music appreciation but taking up DIY.  Building equipment and reading about how to do it became it's own hobby and music is almost constantly playing in my house, except for when we sit down to watch a little TV and unwind before bed.  So the gear I am building has to be additional to the stuff that is in use, as we can't spare to not listen.

Wow 19 days into the New Year and I’ve already meet one of my new years audio resolution. Got the Spectral DMC-15S pre-amp, It’s plugged in and being run-in as I write. First impression out of the box the speed hits you like a bullet train. The speed from this pre-amp makes my old Roksan Rok L2.5 pre-amp look positively retarded.

The next audio resolution is going to take a bit longer I think getting the Peak Consult’s Princes speakers, well at £6000 I think it will. Well still I can enjoy my latest addition love it.
