Permit me to tack on a little info to Pete's recommendations.  Blue, by JM, has been remastered from the original tapes by Steve Hoffman and re-released by Acoustic Sounds.  This dude is Mr. Reliable.  About thirty bucks, I think, but it's on improved 180 or 200 gram vinyl.  The Alison Krause album that's gathering all the audiophile praise is a 2 disc set, I believe, and I can't think of the name of it.  Perhaps, Pete, or someone, can tell us both.  I believe that this is available from Classic Records.  Also, 180 or 200 gram vinyl and just as expensive.

I've been hearing good things about PJ Harvey's latest, White Chalk, altho I never imagined it would be available on vinyl.  Did you or anyone happen to she her on Leno a few nights ago?  Accompanying herself on autoharp and a foot organ, she commanded that stage like few others I've seen.  Took chances with her voice like few others I've heard. And her wardrobe . . she's an original artist right down to her shoes.   Think I'm in love.

Alison Krauss “Union Station” I enjoyed this LP, one of my fav.

Alison Krauss “Forget About It” another good one.

Alison Krauss “LIVE” a great LIVE LP.

Linda Ronstadt “Heart Like a Wheel” picked this up at RMAF and I'm very happy with it.

Joni Mitchell “Blue” the new remastered LP, was not out yet when I tryed to pick it up.

Also if you can pick up a good used LP of Linda Ronstadt "What's New" it will be well worth it.

Wow, what a bunch of great information!  This is super.

I am already familiar with A. Krauss (great), Joni M. (she's the man!  or woman!), M. Peyrous, Ms. Krall (never really understood the hype), and Sarah Vaughn (stellar).  But, I have none of those on vinyl, and should rectify that.

All the other stuff I will looking into, surely.

Thanks (and I wasn't calling anyone Shirley).

Peter-  Was that a new copy of Heart Like A Wheel?  Ever hear Kate and Anna McGarrigle sing that?  Which reminds me . . THAT, too,  is also a great recording (self titled on Warner Bros records)!

Pauly-  Saw that just the other day on cable.  To this day, that sucker is a laugh a minute.  Forkin hilarious.

There's no doubt that O.J. Simpson was the greatest comedic actor of the 20th century.

Yes, it was the new release from Cisco and it's very nice. Never heard the Kate & Anna McGarrigle version.

Wasn't that Kareem Abdul Jabar?  Pauly?  Thank's Pete.  I'm down for that after I listen to my old copy to make sure I still love it.

Hmm.. now I'm not sure.. I thought we were talking about The Naked Gun, and I thought O.J. was in all of them.  (Of course, he didn't do anything funny; thus my little joke.)

But I know Kareem was also in at least one flick with Leslie and now I can't get them straight in my head.  Time to watch them again, I guess.  :o
