Do to the lack of jokes in the sports bar circle, I guess this thread will have to do.    :rotflmao:

Oh, this is getting good!  Nathan is doing real well, too!  I've  showed that cookbook cover here at work!

For a moment I thought Chuck meant *prostitutes*.  I'd guess that they didn't want to be tied to the squat cage! :nono:

Actually, there was this nightclub in San Juan (Lucky 7) that had exotic dancers, girls on the bar and rooms you could rent in the back.  The dancers would get guys and tie them to the post and then get them naked.  There was also this dancer who could smoke cigarretes with her...

PLEASE tell me the gallery is not down!!! :(

What a shame...

Nathanm: That "cookbook" cover was intended to shock people into starvation by revulsion. Let's hope it works, this is a grotesquely FAT nation.

Chuck: No, I did NOT peek into your bathroom window to take a look of your "heavenly" body  :|  Besides, there haven't been many tornadoes lately to sweep me through your tornado magnet trailer.
It is quite evident that you wear XL shirts and XS pants from the kids section of Sears. No biggie...

PLEASE put the pics back up! We NEED the entertainment!!

Well this time I planned ahead and downloaded some of the choicest shots last night.  It makes me wish I knew how to do Flash animation...this could be comedy gold in skilled hands.

Ahh Chuck - one minute making threats of violence and the next taking his ball and going home.  His second batch of shots were much more endearing I thought, and weren't nearly as wacko as the originals led one to believe.  I still wish I knew where the speakers were.  The sub is there, but I haven't spotted the mains.  Well, isn't that the audiophile's goal - for the speakers to disappear!?  I know Chuck hasn't disappeared though - as long as there is vibration to be stopped he'll be there. :uzi:  :bounce:

The White Trash cookbook is a real hoot! :thumb:  Where else are you gonna find dishes containing polecats!?

Constructive Suggestion
Hi Mister Josephson,

Scout Productions is having open entries for the show "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy."[/i]   The concept of the show is to do aesthetic make-overs for straight guys (single or married) like you or me.

At this moment, they are focusing on the NY, NJ, CT area residents......HOWEVER, they will be expanding the show out of the Tri-State area into other parts of the country, as it's a ratings winner.

Would you be interested in signing-up when they're in your neck of the woods?  They are very good at giving proactive, constructive advise.

David Collins and David Metzler are the Producers of the weekly program and I can contact them on your behalf if you're interested in being part of a future show.....

I'm not trying to be funny here.  I'm serious.  They do good work.  Here are some BEFORE & AFTER PICS of Projects they have addressed in the past:  http://www.bravotv.com/Queer_Eye_for_the_Straight_Guy/Episodes/111/

The "Josephson Project" would make for a very informative, educational and constructive show.    Please have an open mind to this suggestion.

For future reference, the show is on the Bravo Channel (part of NBC) on Tuesdays 10/9 PM.

TCO,
somehow I think your buddy might be a bit homophobic so I don't think mixing him up with 5 super-gay guys would be a good idea... :)

Nathanm,
PLEASE OH PLEASE upload those pics you saved to your gallery...
How foolish have I been to not seize the opportunity to save them on my drive... :(

Well, I don't know if that would be the most ethical thing to do, as they are Chuck's pics and if he suddenly chickens out and doesn't want them on display I guess that's his right.  WHY he suddenly changes his mind after going through all that posting is beyond me.  Seems almost masochistic doesn't it?  The man's got guts to endure that much public scrutiny, I'll give him that.  And the buxom brunette in this batch was certainly a nice counterpoint to the usual Josephonian interior oeuvre.

Is there anyone who hasn't seen them at all?  Hard to fathom!

TheeChosen:  Whaddaya crazy? Those queers would come in and undo all the audio tweaks he worked so hard on!  (Although...the red glitter upholstered dumbells were sorta gay...)  Hell, I would watch that show just to see the expression on the faces of anyone who walked in.  In person it must be ten times as mind blowing as the photographs are! :)

Actually, those pictures are not in the public domain at all. They're owned and copyrighted by Chuck, and his posting them on this site doesn't remove his ownership or copyright of them.

It's a common misconception that pictures on a website are "public domain," but a misconception nonetheless.

Come on Chuck.
I know you're a brave man. Put those babies up again.
Could you please list your equipment and the internal as well as external tweaks you have performed on them? Thanks.

I don't see what's the problem with Chuck.  Seems to me some people couldn't handle his extreme sound measures and decor.  That's his own prerogative and taste, not for anyone else to judge. :nono:
Besides, Chuck knows more & is way more experienced about audio than the majority of guys here. And judging by the female samples he's provided, he's done quite well for himself in that department! 8)

You have to give the man credit for his persisitence.  After all of the abuse he stood in here pretty well.  Just because someone has different tastes doesn't really give anybody the right to ridicule them, especially when they are harmless.  I suspect if anybody came to this forum and read this thread they probably wouldn't be back.

True, but that is not the case here.  Go and read the old threads and his posts - he went on the attack from the get go.  Chuck doled out just as much 'abuse' as he received.    The man got what he asked for.

Read the tweaking thread carefully and you will see a series of humorous, irreverent comments by a few people, but nothing terribly insulting.  Then read Chuck's response - he immediately fired back with full blown across-the-board insults.   After that the gloves were off and it snowballed from there.

You're right Nathanm. He's got it coming. What a thread tweaks is.  My mistake for not knowing the whole story.  The guy seems kind of scary in a weird way.

Nathan`s right, Chuck loves this stuff, he`s said so time & time again. He antagonizes just to get a rise outta the guys and to keep a dying thread from expiring. I wouldn`t be surprised if Chuckie pulled those pictures just to yank us one more time, like throwing kerosine on a fire. He`s a crafty ole coot, along with being a fruitloop. Regards, Robin

At first it was very weird for me, especially cause he asked people to call him.  There was, in my mind, the posibility that this was one weird, solitary homo.  Lonewolfny sent me a private message with Chuck's phone # searched in Google and I went ahead and called him.  He's OK.  A bit eccentric, I'd say.  Definitely knows audio and has a taste for fine gear.

Don't forget what I say:

2 + 2 = 4  (even if a madman says it!)
