good luck w/your new facilitator yob - i know it's a thankless & difficult task. it took the audio circle's moderators almost two years to see the error of its ways and allow me back in, after it banned me...
You're on a roll, Rob. Don't stop now!
JohnR might remember this gem..http://harmonicdiscord.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5593&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
I had no idea JohnR was actually George W. Bush!
that thread, like this one, was the poster's first post to the audio circle. and, the original poster was actually banned for posting the thread:

He was not banned for posting it, but because he kept reposting it after it had been binned, which was in turn subsequent to the pros and cons having already been hashed over ad infinitum in Limbo and at least two statements by me saying that the thread was about to be binned. You linked to his first repost; after his second repost, I deactivated his account to stop him. He immediately attempted to register another account under another name, which I blocked as well. If that is not the definition of a trouble-maker, I don't know what is.
doug....>IMO<....There is a difference between the two threads....one was a purchase....the other just an audition request.
doug, I explained it as best I can. I don't support the use of AudioCircle as a means to harm and threaten others. The post(er) that you are inexplicably so fond of explicitly stated his intent to cause harm to the other party. I don't intend to argue with you about it, I posted simply to correct your lies about why he was banned.
tho, even if not explicitly stated that harm was desired, it would follow that harm might occur: if you have a bad experience w/company "a", & warn others about it, it's possible the biz of company "a" may be negatively impacted. yust as it's possible that acoustic reality's biz may be negatively impacted by this thread. i think it would be extremely naive to think there's no possibility that a/r will be harmed here. so mebbe that's why i have been having a bit of trouble differentiating these two threads - it's implicit to me, that if i post factual negative info about someone, then that "someone" may be harmed...
I am just telling the truth BTW: We don't sell to any AC members! Therefore I can say the truth, but some don't want to hear that you are constantly cheated and belive cables, speakers or whatever on this forum has a value. All is just equal to made-in-china shit.
FWIW, I've been Audio Central's facilitator all of 8 days, and wasn’t around when all this took place.

By extension he would not sell to ACer's, as AC is the successor to HD (DanG has given his blessing to that fact). So AC members are not only NOT his customers, he wouldn't sell to them if they wanted to be. I don't think his business can be harmed anymore than it already has by anything anyone posts about him or his products here.Quote from: Peter on 20 Jun 2004, 10:53 pmI am just telling the truth BTW: We don't sell to any AC members! FWIW, my brother and I each have a pair of 1001 monos, all has been good so far . We actually had Bel Canto REF1000s and Carver Z1600s, but decided to keep these, just a better fit for both of us, the Carver was a little lean, the Bel Cantos somewhat bright in my system, and not bass heavy enough for my brother, who is vertically biamping with the AR1001 running the bass section. As long as they hold out, we are satified. See, every situation has good and bad stories, at least ours has been good so far.
