It breaks my heart to see this, Scott. Your public posts and comments made during our off-line conversations made it all-too-clear how much you love these speakers. The good news is you've beaten the beast before, and I've no doubt it's destined for defeat again.I hope you got the voicemail I left a few days ago. I called what I assume was your 'old' work number. If you have a different number now, please let me know via PM.Regardless, if there's anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to PM, e-mail or call. It boggles the mind that so much can happen to one man, especially a man as universally (and justifiably) well-liked as you. I have and will continue to pray for a full recovery, and look forward to your comments when Revelations are once again in the house of Freejazz. With warmest regards and utmost respect,-Jim
Sorry to again miss your call Jim ... just a bit low on juice right now. I will try to catch you on Monday, as I go back in on Tuesday. Thanks for your persistance.Best,Scott
This REALLY is a great deal....and I told Scott if I had the room I would take them...but my room is too small....so someone is going to get a great speaker...and at half the cost.....and they will be VERY HAPPY with the way they sound..... BUMP

BUMPMy room is 12x20 and I fear these are just too big as well. Height wouldn't be that big a deal but they are each 4" wider than my current speaker and I think these would really really overpower the room.I've always been intrigued by SP Tech speakers though. At 67" high do the "stands" place the tweeter at ear level when seated?

The short answer is no, but due to the dispersion characteristics of the waveguide, it doesn't matter.
Ceiling is cathedral and my "sweet spot" is about 10.5 feet from the front plane of the speakers.I'm currently using and really enjoying Odyssey Lorelie's. Based on their size I've upgraded TV to 70" JVC 1080p LCoS RPTV which goes between the two front speakers. I'm a bit limited on going wider because of a chunk of wall that juts out and my equipment rack.Looks pretty much like this however, the TV in that picture is a 61", the 70" added about 5" of width -
BTW - I updated a couple of the three allotted photos on Audiogon. These will give a much better idea of how the speakers actually appear.
That sounds/looks like a very good space. No subwoofer need apply either!Scott
No offense, Wolfy...but you've got competition in the speaker leaning category
