A few more suggestions...

It's more Scotland than Ireland, but those tall, slim wooden cabinets sort of look like "Cabers".

Dennis mentioned this speaker's midrange clarity a few times, so "Lucidity" comes to mind. It could go reasonably well with "Veracity".

A few random comments on names and ideas mentioned in this thread...

"Affinity" sounds OK, but my problem with it is that it's so passionless. It's reminds me of a lukewarm attraction. Imagine yourself telling the girl of your dreams how much you love her, and having her say she had an affinity for you.

I like "Fidelity", because it's simple and direct, and also goes well with "Veracity".

"Probity" sounds like what allegedly happens to UFO abductees.

Jim said he didn't want his name in front of this speaker. But, given that Salk Signature Sound is the sole supplier, I think people are going to call it the "Salk Whatever no matter what. For example, if some magazine or webzine reviews it or mentions it in a show report, they have to label it somehow. I think the name needs to sound good following "Salk". That's one problem with something like "Salk Caber"--if you say it out loud, you have to come to a full stop between the two words.

Naming the speaker based on the number of drivers seems like giving up to me. You might as well call it the 2CAOW2 or 2CADX19 and be done with it.

I'm still partial to my earlier suggestion "Siren". Granted, some people think of a police/firetruck/ambulance noisemaker when they hear the term. To me, in a musical context, the name connotes beautiful singing or desire. If somebody suggested "Soprano" in a musical context, I wouldn't think of a mobster. If somebody suggested "Paris" in an artistic or cultural context, I wouldn't think of a rich heiress.

Here's a summary of the names (and just the names--none of the explanations) submitted so far, including the ones submitted as jokes. It's quite a collection.

Based on this quote from Jim, I removed "Salk" from the beginning of some names. (I still contend that people are going to call it the Salk Whatever, though.)

How about instead of Leprechaun, which could be seen as offensive to the small population of Leprechauns living in the US, we use the term, height challenged people whom prefer green and get drunk and sleep in piles of their own vomit. Just a thought. a wrong one... but its a thought! of sorts

Veracity Concord. Well Veracity is "truthfully - accurate - precise", Concord is "A harmonious combination of simultaneously sounded tones/notes".

Thus Veracity Concord would mean "To truthfully play a harmonious combination of simultaneously sounding notes..."
It sort of just flows as you speak it. I like it.
